I got this to make green veggie shakes in the morning after going through several other blenders. My main issue with other blenders was that they'd struggle to properly juice celery and would leave chunks floating around. This particular blender has no problem blending celery and other any fruits/veggies I've thrown in it so far - I'm confident that I could throw anything in there at this point and I'd still get a perfectly smooth shake. Having used the same juicer for over 20 years (a Champion masticating juicer), the switch to a centrifugal was a little weird. It doesn’t extract as much juice as a masticating juicer. The pulp is pretty wet and I can squeeze some juice out of it. It feels a little wasteful and that’s why I’m giving this a three star review. The attached photo is 3 cups of juice, which came from 5 pounds of carrots. In the end, how much juice is wasted I can’t say without doing a side-by-side comparison. If I ever do that, I will come back and update. The blender, on the other hand, I absolutely adore! I like it better than my Vitamix. I made some homemade hummus in it the other day that was out of this world, so creamy and smooth! I would give the blender by itself at least a four, possibly 4 1/2. I haven’t used it extensively enough to say whether I would give it a five. It’s a nice solid machine, with expected Breville quality. ... show more

We are really enjoying this product. I like that it is so simple to juice things right into the blender. It seems to get all the juice out and it's not super loud. I think it's about as easy to clean as it can be. It should be cleaned or at least have everything rinsed off before it has the chance to dry. But it seems well designed without a bunch of needless crevices or places where liquid can seep in that it doesn't belong. I'm happy with it and I'm not easy to please. I purchased this for my husband because he wanted to eat healthier. He doesn't like eating vegetables, so he started to blend them with his fruit smoothies, and he enjoyed drinking them. It is of great quality, and I would recommend that that anybody wanting to make smoothies purchase this machine.

I've tried several juicers and this exceeds my expectations and is not even in the same category as other juicers. I juice a gallon of juice in 10 minutes or less. It's easy to clean, will juice whole fruits and vegetables no problem. The pulp is a little wetter than some juicers but who cares, with the extra 1.5 hours I have from not cutting veggies and unclogging and cleaning and juicing I can get to work earlier with more energy from all that juice and buy the veggies 10 fold. Buy the Breville especially if it's on sale, you won't regret it and besides you can send it back if you want.. but you won't. Your guests will ooo and ahhh about your new toy and your coworkers will pay you for juice because everyone loves some fresh juice and the pick me up is undeniable.
