  • Great Chair...Some things I'd like to share before and after my purchase.
Size: (1) Single Color: Cream
First of all, it's a fine chair. I spent literally hours researching every Mid Century Modern chair online. I chose this one for a retro, Mid Century Mod Man Cave. I intend to use it primarily to watch TV. I needed one that doesn't take up much room. So, here are some observations I was looking for when shopping, all in one place...... Chair is exactly as described. Extremely well packed and arrived super fast in 2 days by Fedex. Box was in perfect condition. I put the box on it's side and carefully cut open the top and bottom, and the chair parts slid out easily. It is in only 2 pieces, seat and back, so very easy to assemble by yourself. Just attach 4 legs and drop the back into the seat. I chose a recliner to lay back at times to watch TV. It reclines easily, with just a push back, and easily returns to upright. No issue with it not "locking into place" when reclined, as many other chairs seem have comments on. It simply stays where you put it. NOTE: I AM 5 ft. 11" AND MY HEAD IS UNSUPPORTED WHEN RECLINED. Unfortunately this is a feature I was hoping for, but I suppose it is a compromise for the smaller size. With just a couple of inches short, I will have to purchase a small pillow to support my head while reclined. No deal breaker. I've done this before. I would have liked to know this beforehand, though. Otherwise at 5, 11 and 200 lbs, the chair is plenty big enough for me. The chair is comfortable with just enough firmness, but with plenty of cushion. The retractable footrest is fine and hits my legs in a comfortable position. If you are considering this chair, other than the height of the back, I find no cons, and would highly recommend this one. Hopefully, all my time and research will pay off in saving you some time. Good Luck with your purchase. ... show more

  • I love the look and feel of this chair
Size: (1) Single Color: Muted Orange
I love the look and feel of this chair. I need a small pillow when lounged back to comfortably hold my head and I’m 5’3”. My husband is 6’ so this chair is NOT good for him but it’s in my office so it wasn’t intended for him. The chair didn’t come with a lever so you lean back to bring out the recliner. I didn’t realize that when I bought it but not a big deal. I love the burnt orange color and texture of the chair for my mid-century mod Office and it was reasonably priced. ... show more

  • Very good.. for the price
Size: (1) Single Color: Muted Orange
This classic style chair is budget priced but doesn't look cheap. Whether you'll enjoy sitting in it is an open question for each purchaser. Normally I wouldn't buy something where comfort, quality and size are important, but at a price of less than $200 for a recliner that something that looks so stylish I figured I'd take a risk. It arrived in one box and was easily assembled by screwing in the leg posts and gently pushing the seat back into place until it locked. The fabric is nice to the touch, looks comfortable and seems like it will last. The color is a perfect blend of red and orange. If it were more orange or more red I wouldn't like it, but this mixture of the two brings a strong sense of color to a room in a way that brings attention to itself without sticking out in a loud, glaring way. I really like it. This chair is a good size for me. I'm a 5'11 male with a normal build. Sitting or in the reclined mode it fits me well with just enough room to feel comfortable. It's cozy but not tight with space to stretch. My friends who are less than 5'5 would find the distance between the front and the seat back to be too deep, putting their legs in an awkward spot of not bending at the knee and resting on the floor. This chair is light enough that moving it around is easy. But that lightness also means that if you put it on a floor of some sort, you'll need to add something under the legs to cause it to grip otherwise it slides a lot. I've got the front legs on an 8x10 carpet mat and the back on the floor and I think that'll work to keep it in place. The only complaint is that the comfort of the seat and the seatback is not very good. I expect the seat foam to break in over time and become more soft like my sofa has, but the seat back feels like a flat piece of cardboard with light padding and some nice fabric over it. I can tolerate it and for a cost less than $200 I can try it for many months, but I'm already looking at replacing this in the long run. It does support my back well, it just isn't soft and comforting. So for sitting, it does its job nicely. For reading in recliner mode, it works. If the same chair was made in a deluxe model for $100 more,I'd have bought that and been very satisfied. This weekend I tried the West Elm Rhys Mid-Century Recliner. Google it: it looks like almost exactly the same chair with minor differences in the recliner parts and maybe the seatback. Despite the similarity in looks, it feels much, much better in the seat and seat back. But, it lists at $699 and takes 6-8 weeks to get in the same color. I'm happy I bought this chair because it'll let me test how a chair like this looks in my apartment and it'll let me measure how much I actually use it. If I do use it a lot, then I'll probably replace it with something like the West Elm on sale and gift this away to someone who needs it. But for now, I'd recommend it for its balance of features and price. Read the other reviews for more details and put emphasis on what we're all saying about the dimensions if your shorter, taller or heavier built than an average man or woman. ... show more

  • If you like West Elm furniture at a fourth of the price - this chair is for you
Size: (1) Single Color: Cream
I was a bit hesitate at first not sure what to expect, but we love it and ordered a second chair. Very comfortable, durable and trendy. The only negative is the recliner potion is not really that effective. I'm pretty short (5'5") and I still use an ottoman reclining. I actually picked this out because it looks exactly like a West Elm chair that was selling for $799. All of guests love sitting in it (as well as our pets). Actually, have had people ask for me to send over the link on Amazon for them to purchase. ... show more

  • Great accent recliners, great price!
Size: Set of 2 Color: Muted Yellow
I love these chairs. They were cost effective and arrived promptly (earlier than they said they would get here). I bought a set as accent chairs in my living room. The yellow is a great pop of color. They have a slim profile and sleek design, not your dad's bulky recliner. They are reasonably comfy, not super squishy, but looking at the chair, I did not anticipate they would be. ... show more

  • Love my new chairs
Size: 2-Pcs Set Color: Grey
The chairs look great and were easy to put together by myself. Took 10 mins each. They are rather stiff which is why I gave it 4 stars but they are still comfortable, especially when reclined. I would recommend if you're not looking to break your bank account and wanting something nice looking.
