No dislike to date, you just need alot of fireglass to get that look but a great price point, i got mines for a propane fireplace and a second source of heat..i will do a follow up in the winter to let you know how warm/hot my place will get from this unit..you will need a plumber!

Very easy to install! Make sure you have the proper tools and materials for the installation, pipe wrench or channel locks (2), pipe dope for the gas fittings. This product was advertised as a “No hiss” H gas ring. It for sure hisses. I don’t know if it’s possible for it not to hiss. This H ring puts out a full real looking flame and provides a lot of heat. The hiss is much more prevalent when you have the flame turned up but will still hiss at lower settings. Very easy to light, coupled with the glass chips (sold separately) this was a beautiful, inexpensive upgrade to our family room! We’ll be buying another for our outdoor fireplace! ... show more

Easy to install. No hissing sound. Flames can go up to 7” if desired with my fireplace. I plan on covering this item with lava rocks in the near future. I would definitely recommend this.
