I have never owned a drill press. This thing is solidly made. Easy to put together. Didn't come with instructions and I have a plastic piece and an aluminum strip I have no idea what to do with. Works just fine but I wouldn't say it's really powerful. I used it on wet pine and it kept trying to sieze up. Drilling in small increments remedied that. I imagine the power can be adjusted but...no instructions. Buy a vise to hold your wood in place. Included photo of mystery pieces. Project got done so I'm happy with purchase ... show more

I purchased this from the Amazon warehouse as used. ( at a great discount) Works and functions as new, they said. After getting it assembled, I plugged it in, and nothing happened when I turned it on. I checked the breaker and even switched outlets. Same results, nothing. So I contacted Amazon, and after sending a photo of the drill ( no damage, it just doesn’t work) they set it up to pickup, and refund my money, when they receive it back. They have received it back, but no refund yet. As I was checking for the refund a couple days later, I noticed the same brand of drill press, new not used, for $100 less than I paid for the used one. What’s up with that Amazon? I ordered the new one, received it today, and it works as expected. This review reflects more for Amazon’s warehouse, than the drill press it self. If you are going to claim it works as new, check it out to make sure it actually works! And I purchased the extended warranty, just in case. I did receive the refund a few days after posting this.
