The mount itself is a great design but not for 100+ dollars. The only durable part is the base that sits on the ice. The pieces screw together but be sure not to over tighten because they will snap. The pole pieces are very hallow and are made with lightweight plastic. No reason this could not be sold for 50 bucks. Way over priced. ... show more

    • Expensive, fragile, and cheaply made
Glue holding the pieces together doesn't stand up to the cold, all the joints on mine separated after three trips out and had to be re-glued. The straps on the poles are the same way, they will come off and fail to hold the wire in place. The mount spins freely, so you'lll have to shim it out with rubber or something, or else the wire will easily pull it out of the direction you had it facing in.
