The rake arrived in pieces in a small box and honestly, I didn't even recognize what it was as I unboxed it. It wasn't until I opened the box within the amazon packaging that I recognized the rake. I mean I don't know how I expected to it to ship but, none the less it did surprise me. As I unboxed the rake I was worried it was bent because the rake also broke the box and part of the metal rake was exposed. Surprisingly the rake was in excellent condition with no dents or damage to it. This rake is pretty sturdy for an adjustable rake. The rake itself does screw into place with the first connecting handle piece and each additional handle piece screws into place and feels very sturdy. The whole rake is made of metal and it does a fantastic job of pulling our leaves into one spot for an easy fall clean up. It also works pretty well for redistributing our mulch as well. For metal rake the rake isn't too heavy. Overall this rake is fantastic! It feels really durable and light weight. It's easy to use and I love the adjustable length/height to work with. Before getting this 25-tine heavy duty rake, I have always owned rakes with the plastic heads. I like that it came with 5 sections, four of which you can remove to shorten the handle to fit your needs. I have assembled this with all sections which makes it really long. At the 79-inch length, I can rake under some of the plants I have that are bushy or have thorns at the bottom. It is made from a thick steel with an antirust and anticorrosion coating. This rake is durable tough enough to rake leaves, debris, stones, and loosen soil without being destroyed. The 18.5-inch head grabs a lot of leaves, sticks, or stones in each pass. I can adjust the handle length to fit the job. I do not think I will be able to break its tines as I can and have with my rake with the plastic head. I think I will get many years of use from the durable rake. I highly recommend it. ... show more

The Feblomst heavy-duty rake is very sturdy and is unlike most other metal rakes. It is all-steel with baked on powder coating to prevent rust. The 25 tines are stationary and will not fall out. They form an 18-1/2 inch wide rake head. It comes with tools for assembly. There are 5 pieces to the steel handle that can be screwed together to create different length handles. The total rake height can be 37", 51", 65", or 79". We found the 65" height worked best for our 5'5" to 6'0" users. The top piece has a loop for convenient hanging. I tried it on my lawn and it worked very well replacing sod that got displaced from plowing. For improvements, a padded handle would be nice. Being all steel, the rake is pretty heavy. I might replace the handle with a single piece wooden handle to make it lighter. ... show more

Very sturdy, I wasn't sure what to expect with a handle you have to assemble, but it's great! The rake part is very effective, the tines are well spaced so it works on even smaller leaves, but is wide enough to rake large spaces quickly! Very happy with it.

I liked this at first. In the hand it feels heavy duty and it looked nice, but that's where the fun ends. Get this thing out in the yard and it clogs up with leaves so fast it's annoying. The handle likes to loosen at the joints, and those plastic joints don't feel good in the hand. A smooth pole is a must for raking. The tines on the head feel strong and sturdy. It will rake some leaves pretty well. However, don't put too much pressure because the head is pinched in between some sheet metal with two tiny rivets holding it on there. It will bend and break if you put too much pressure on it. I really do not like that. Another thing is the end cap on the pole. It popped off in my hand so many times while raking I wanted to smash the thing! It was infuriating! It's just a stupid little plastic cap that slides on the end of the pole, but also slides right back off in your hand over and over again. Quite frankly, this drove me nuts. Let me start off by saying that assembly of this rake took less than 10 minutes tops. The hardest part was tightening the bolt that connects the rake head to the handle. Everything was included in the box including the screwdriver and wrench. Using this rake was just like any other normal rake except this one is adjustable in height which makes all the difference for shorter users. The tines on this rake are some of the most durable ones I've seen on a rake before. They make light work of the many leaves on my lawn.
