  • This did not come with 6" drop down around outside edge like the one I ordered from same company.
Great product, except this did not come with the extra 6" drop down cloth around the outside edge like the last one I ordered from the same company and same product code. I also cut a 1/4" off each pipe like others suggested so I didn't have to fight to stretch it on like my last one. I used a small pipe cutter that worked great on all the pipes. Great product ... show more

  • Looks nice but doesn't quite fit
We re-ordered this after the one we bought three years ago got torn and tattered. We live on the California coast and don't have extreme weather, but the "ripstop" fabric gave in and ripped at the seams. We figured that paying a third of the coast each year was cheaper than any other solution, so we went to our purchase records and bought it again. It was about $30 cheaper this time, which was nice. So it will cost us about $60 a year, assuming the same life-span as the last two. However, putting it on was another story. We barely managed to wrestle the top of the canopy on. And the large lower section just wouldn't go. The third corner required bending the rib-struts (and hoping they wouldn't stay bent) in order to stretch the fabric over the corner ribs . The last corner was another story. It needed to stretch a full two inches farther to get the end pocket over the rib, and that simply could not be done; the fabric is not elastic. So in a fit of despair, I disassembled the telescoping rib assembly, put the end into the pocket and then stretched it taut. Hopefully, it will stay put. I could have returned it, but instead, since I made it work, we decided to let it stand as is and then replace the entire structure when the canvas inevitably shreds. Maybe a retractable awning? Maybe hire a contractor to build a covered pergola? But we won't be replacing this canopy. ... show more

  • Easy and Perfect Fit!
We've had this for a couple weeks now. Its been through a few major storms without any ripping or tearing. I have read that a lot of folks have issues with it being too tight to install. I did NOT experience this at all. I put it on the frame during a windy day and I accomplished it all by myself with an aid of a step ladder. This is how I installed it: 1) Drape the cover over the entire roof frame. 2) Work the center cupola through the hole in the middle of the cover. 3) Starting with the corners, gentle pull the fabric down to insert the poles into the pockets, continues with the side poles and pockets. 4) Using a step ladder, put on the cupola cover. REMEMBER - the top post in the cupola is spring loaded, so make sure to pull down on the cupola fabric to gain some material to put the poles into the pockets. 5) Fasten the cupola screen fabric to the Velcro strips. This whole process took me only 20 minutes, alone. Now to see how well it holds up to the sun over the years. The material does seem to be much better quality than the original. I am hopeful! ... show more

  • Finally a perfect fit
My frame is still ok.. this is my 3rd replacement top and the first one that fits right. Prior 2 were too tight. Hope to get 2-3 seasons from this one.

  • We are happy with the canopy that we got to replace the ...
We are happy with the canopy that we got to replace the original one, which had sort of shredded because it was left on the frame for a year. The first year we had it we took it off for the winter; the second year we left it on--not a good idea. We are not happy with either Amazon or Garden Winds, whoever was in charge of advertising. As you can see in the picture, it is shown with the drapes that you can pull together to guard against flies, bugs, etc. But, it does NOT come with the drapes. It is only the roof part, as shown. So I think $200 for just the roof replacement is pretty steep. This is just another sign of the times, where you do not know what you are ordering on-line, and if you do reach someone by phone, they don't seem to know exactly what you will get for the money. But if it ever rains in Central California, at least we won't get rained on while we are eating dinner. ... show more

  • Fast installation
Very easy to put on! Only took a couple of minutes. My only concern is only the corner and middle pockets are all that's holding it on to frame where the original had a flap all the way around that fastened to frame which helped alot in winds. Curious to see how this new one does in winds in the Midwest. ... show more

  • Overly tight fit
It was not easy to install. We wound up cutting the frame ends so it would fit. In hindsight, it might have helped if I’d checked that the frame was 100% aligned, and not skewed out of true angles. But it’s impossible to install the cover without the frame moving a little bit this way or that.

  • more information
It would of been nice to know that the sides did not come with it. It shows it in the picture but did not receive them.
