Description

TIPS & TRICKS - Water the seedlings in their original pots or containers before transplanting. This will ensure that the root ball is moist, making it easier to remove the seedlings without damaging their roots. - Use the depth gauge on your Garden Weasel Multi-Use Transplanter to ensure that you plant the seedlings or bulbs at the correct depth in the new location; this promotes proper root development and stability. - When using the transplanter, handle the seedlings and their root balls with care to minimize root disturbance. Gently remove the seedlings from their pots and place them in the planting holes without damaging their roots. Avoid squeezing or compacting the roots during the transplanting process. - After transplanting, water your seedlings thoroughly to help settle the soil around their roots and eliminate air pockets. Applying a layer of mulch around the transplanted seedlings can help retain moisture, regulate temperature, and reduce weed competition, further promoting their growth and survival. - Use the pointed tip on the Garden Weasel Multi-Use Transplanter for nosing around the circumference of the weed, and then the serrated edges on the blade to cut through any roots.

I liked this tool. It's design is strong, effective and useful. It seems well made and the handle is grippy. It could be a little lighter, but then it might not be as strong. So it might be optimal the way it is. It is handy for planting things, removing weeds by their roots, small trenching in hard soil, and generally many of the tasks of a garden trowel but with a more compact design that gives you a bit more leverage and a bit less coverage. This is a wonderful tool. It is sturdy, heavy, and sharp. It should last a long time. However, I have a bone to pick with whoever packaged it for mailing--most likely in an Amazon warehouse. Inside of the Amazon box, along with other items in the same shipment, the tool was on a plastic bag that was open on one side. I could not see that one end of the bag was open, picked it up from the wrong end. The heavy sharp tool slid out of the bag and fell on my bare foot. Owww!!!! They should have at least stapled or taped the bag. ... show more

i was hesitant to buy this because the name garden weasel seemed silly and gimmicky to me, but it got good reviews so i went ahead with it. holy hell should i have got one of these years ago! every little hand trowel ive used before was made the exact same way and they always bend at the exact same place- right between the handle and the shovel part. this thing is made so solidly i had no issue digging into my clay-heavy yard. the edges are sharp and serrated which made very light work of digging up some plants to move around. this little bastard did a fantastic job and its going to be the first thing i grab when i have to do any gardening in the future. ... show more

LOVE! Clay fine silty and like cement to dig. If that sounds like your dirt look no further you have found your new garden shovel. I also bought the hand rake. These are amazing quality. They are heavy duty and will not have snapped handles like that pile of snapped handled ones that are currently piled up in your shed like mine. This is a medieval weapon of destruction that will have you planting in that cement like dirt in no time there are no limitations to the planting accomplishments with these!
