In truth, I just got the item and it seems sturdy enough and was easy to assemble. Haven't had a chance to really put it through its paces. It really is quite short though, so bear that in mind. The hollow aluminum screw together handle and screw together head feel super light and cheap so I keep expecting it to give out .. but even ripping out blackberries with it hasn't damaged it.. I've been careful with it, but far from gentle and it's held up great .. so far it's a 10/10 when I expect a 4/10 ... show more

This is perfect for me. The instructions show two center poles and my kit had only one. I researched and found that you can order different lengths. I'm 5'7" and the shorter version works well. If you are tall, consider the longer one.

The handle on this rake is not very long. Because the handle is in sections and screws together, it tends to unscrew itself when you use it. The description says adjustable. I thought that the handle telescopes to adjust in length. It doesn't. It's just 3 sections that screw together. Having to bend more than I like at the waist, cause a backache, I was able to do what I needed to prep the bald spots of dirt and plant the grass. ... show more

Handle IS WAY TOO SHORT. Their claim that tall ppl won't need to bend over is FALSE. I'm not tall, but it's too short for me. Returning to order one with a NORMAL LENGTH handle. Barely taller than a door knob.
