    • Sturdy, smart design, space saving
The product arrived flat, in a box. When I opened the box, it was in a collapsed position. There are springs with latches on the outside that allow for the arms to either collapse, saving space, or open and lock, providing support when standing up. The arms are also legs (I told you it was a smart design), so the "kneeler" also becomes a "table". I found that particularly helpful when needing to keep items at a comfortable, waist high height, rather than bending down and retrieving them from the ground. The green color blends in well with a natural environment. I like that it isn't ostentatious, as a garden should be aesthetic, presentable, and organic. Sometimes you want to leave the kneeler in the garden, but you also don't want it to detract from the natural beauty. The cushion, although not overly cushiony or soft, is dense and durable. I think this was a logical trade off, as this design will ultimately last longer. As far as the metal, it doesn't feel like thin or malleable aluminum. It feels dense and inert. I feel confident knowing it will support me whether I kneel, or use the arms to stand up (I'm roughly 160 pounds). It's always difficult to anticipate whether a product with last, but I project it will over time after testing and observing the strength and durability of the metal, and the hardwire that keeps everything together looks more than adequate. the most noticeable thing about this kneeler is the thickness of the frame tubing.The bends are crimped inward like better quality lawn furniture. The EVA pads are thick and comfortable to kneel on for gardening. The lower side is actually raised above the ground so that when it is flipped to the bench side the seat is not dirty. There are no instructions so it took a minute to figure out how to fold it; just squeeze against the springs and the legs fold in. The finish looks well done and the entire product seems well made. I tested the kneeler planting my vegetable garden and the best part is when getting up to move down the line, the handles on the sides make getting back up very much easier. As far as a seat, this product could be used in various situations and when folded won’t take up much room in a car trunk.It is well designed and will be a valued addition to your garden tool collection. I have chairs I use outside for gardening, and getting them around is annoying, and I often hurt my plants trying to move my chair. Plus the chair seat is rock hard. AND I often forget to bring out my kneepads for gardening. This thing is collapsible, can be a chair or kneel pad, and feels rather sturdy. I like that the kneel pad can be either flat to the ground, or have handlebars that help you stand up—but that you can also have them down and out of the way if you need more room. I really like this design. I have other kneeling pads, but this is the only one that I have that has built-in handles to help me get up. My knees are quite arthritic, and after kneeling for a couple of minutes they are quite stiff. The handles really help me to get back to my feet. The only complaint that I have is that the green cushion pads are a little too thin and hard for extended kneeling. I fixed this issue fairly cheaply by getting another thicker kneeling pad and laying it on top of the attached pad. The fact that you can flip this over and also use it as a chair makes it very useful when working on my cars. I’m about 220 pounds and it feels more than sturdy enough. ... show more

    • Preassembled and compact.
All metal and comes preassembled you just need to unfold the legs and you're done. For the most part this feels sturdy lifting myself when kneeling or just sitting on it when I'm gardening. The foam feels good to rest on but is also very firm. After you're done you can just fold it up and store it. You do need to pull the handles with the springs on both sides to fold the legs. There's no instructions that mention this and you have to kind of figure it out on your own. Also take into consideration the width of this since I thought it barely fit me so someone wider is going to have issues. ... show more

We have a lot of gardening to do at our house. One of the most difficult things that we can do on a regular basis is getting down on our knees to pull weeds or plant or trim something. It's particularly challenging for my wife. This Garden Kneeler solves many of those issues. Not only is it great for kneeling but you can turn it around and you can sit on it and do your gardening. It will support up to 220 pounds and is light enough to carry around the garden. It is very sturdy in design and manufacturing and the legs can be folded up for easy storage and carrying.     • Not Totally Safe
This kneeler came folded and easily opened out. But I can't for the life of me figure out how to refold it again. Of course it came with no instructions whatsoever. So now it's a big thing taking up space on my balcony. Even worse, there is no rubber backing on the legs, so right away it slipped out from under me when standing up and I hurt myself. It would be ok on grass or dirt, I suppose, but the balcony where I'm using it is ceramic tile. I learned you have to balance your weight exactly right for it to remain stable.
