This button replaced a button that I had to press very hard for my garage door to open. Now that I installed this new button I just gently tap it and the garage door opens! The green light that illuminates the button is a little brighter than the old one too. Two wires, three screws, it was pretty ez! They don't actually tell you how to separate the back plate from the button in order to install it. Just use a small screw driver and very gently twist it between the two pieces to get the locking teeth to free up. This replaced a stock button without issue. ... show more

Not sure if it's due to the model I have, but the green light did not work for me. The button to turn on the light in the garage door lifter, and the lock button presumably works. Also the main feature of opening/closing the garage door, but I'm disappointed the green light does not work.

Simple, install. I was replacing my older wall controller that was giving me phantom door openings during the night. I replaced it with this one and everything is working without the door opening on its own. I wish it had an automatic sensor for the light.
