So far extremely happy with this screen. I have been buying the Harbor freight one for years. They last about a year in the sun and shred easily after that. For about the same money this screen is made of much better material (not cloth) and I believe it will out last the HF one for sure. The quality of this screening material is impressive, and the weave is much closer than typical screening, so bugs will NOT get through this. The magnetic closure is excellent, if you make sure that the bottom edge isn't dragging on the floor too much to allow the panels to move freely. The straps for rolling up and securing the screen when not in use, all very good. Stitching is good, materials excellent. The way this attaches to your garage door opening is with wide, strong velcro. The first part of the velcro has adhesive backing, so clean the surfaces well, let them dry, and then stick that velcro to the edges of the opening. If it doesn't stick well enough, they provide very nice upholstery-style thumbtacks to make them more secure. My only quibble is, and this is probably just me, I would rather have the "loop" portion of the hook and loop velcro closure stuck up around the perimeter and then the "hook" part would be on the edges of the screen. Instead, the part that is adhesive and is put up permanently around the door opening, is the "hook" part. Now, we won't always have that screen in place, and when the "hook" part of the velcro isn't covered, it attracts all kinds of things that stick to it. Hair, feathers, dust bunnies, sawdust, etc. And once it fills up with crud, the velcro won't work as well. So I'll need to find some way to cover that velcro "hook" strip when the door is not in place. ... show more

These types of screens are a great solution to bug issues without doing any major renovations. -It came in well packaged and in great shape. -Seems very good quality, although I don’t think it will hold up to pet scratching very well. -Installing is not very difficult although a second set of hands will definitely make it easier. -Super clean the area before you try to mount the velcro. On that note I would suggest mounting on the inside of the door. -Be sure the center of the opening is a tad higher and tack it down at least the top center area because after a few uses it will pop off. -The adhesion of the velcro holds pretty well other than that so far. -The magnets work great and it closes on its own good. Just make sure it is a bit off the ground when installing because otherwise it doesn’t like to close. -Also on that note don’t install it “tight” it needs to have a little play to allow the door to close. -Depending on level of traffic (or age) you may want to add a bit more reinforcement on the corners at least. All and all though it keeps the bugs out, increases air flow rather well and is holding up nicely. ... show more

We got a door frame screen for the door from our garage to our house, but we still had bugs come in so we wanted a double layer. While it does a good job of keeping out the bugs, its extremely difficult too shut my garage door now. They screen keeps blocking the sensor so I have to hold the screen to close it. The way my garage door is set up, I'm not sure if there's a good way to install. Also, I don't like that you can see the net from the street. Not sure how my HOA will like that. If I could get over those two issues this net would be perfect. ... show more

This is like a big screen curtain so you can fiddle around in your garage and not have all the flying buggers bug you. After hubby put this up it was crazy how many little flies and gnats and even pincher bug were on this thing within an hour of putting it up. When not in down mode you can roll it up and buckle it so the cars can move in and out the garage. We also note that it keeps the garage cooler, that is a nice bonus. During the night the mosquitoes and moths will find themselves attached to the screen as well. What the screen can't stop from getting in as we go through the magnetic opening our bug zapper will get. This is wonderful if you like to be in your garage during the summer late into the night but couldn't because of the bugs. ... show more

    • Best to Have Two Sets of Hands on the Install

The Velcro that goes onto the frame of the door is not the best quality. After a few tries of centering the screen, the velcro from the door frame would stick to the velcro on the screen and then it would peel off, making it frustrating to install. Once we got it in place, we reinformed it with screws and now it's secure. I think we could have done a better job cleaning the surface before the Velcro was applied or used a stronger adhesive as a backup option. The screen fits fairly well, although it is a few inches longer than what is necessary. Also, it's not all that noticeable as it is semi-transparent, but it does an excellent job keeping out the mosquitos and other bugs and critters. I'm highly allergic to mosquitos so this is my saving grace during the warmer seasons. ... show more
