I'm in the precious metal melting business and have been using the same graphite forms for over 10 years. I managed to drop my large mold and one of the short sides broke off. I use a large format floor Ceia electromagnetic furnace @1100°C to melt mixed gold karats into refining bars to send to refineries. So far these forms have been useful as replacements though slightly thinner to my former forms. We'll just see how long they will last banging gold out of them. ... show more
