  • Quality product worth the money
Size: 1 Gallon
I found it excellent so far. I have done pours that are approximately an inch or so deep. They get hard in less than 24hr so that I can demold. Easy to use. My pours are colored silver/gray with mica powder. Have not tried clear pours, but looks clear before I add Mica Powder. Have not noticed any smell. Have not had problems with bubles so far. (I mix with tongue depressor) Have not tested finl product in water. I will buy again. ... show more

  • This is the best for me
Size: 1 Gallon
I'm just starting working with resin. I've tried a few but is by far the best. Very few bubbles, nice drying time and it's easier for me to work with than those resins that have 100 bubbles with each stir. This dries clear and looks great. Since I've started I had a lot of mess ups and am just now getting the hang of it thanks to watching some You Tube videos. Finally, have some items I can give to friends. I'm stickting with Dr. Crafty. Great product. ... show more

  • Good product and would buy again
Size: 2 Gallon
I got my project idea from searches and watching videos, so I have never used this product before or any epoxy product before. product came with easy to follow directions I emailed the company asking a question about my project and received a response by next day I like how with this product you also get measuring cups (must have), mixing spoons (must have) and smoothing tools (nice to have, but didn't use). All these are needed tools, so it was nice to get everything with one purchase opposed to having to buy all separate. I did steal a spatula from kitchen and an old water pitcher. nobody has noticed that they are missing yet. I used one measuring cup for resin and the second for hardener and same with mixing spoons. once I filled measuring cups I dumped into my old watcher pitcher and used spatula to mix. I was a little nervous to use this as I've only watched other people online (all different products), but I finally decided to go for it and mixed my first batch. the directions said to mix for 3 minutes, but I think I mixed a little longer to make sure everything was mixed. when the mixture ran clear I felt it was good to go. I don't know if I did everything correctly, but my project turned out good. I made a coffee table that is 32'' X 42''. I poured first mixture in the middle and watched it spread out. I realized I was going to need a lot more, so I made a double batch and again I made sure everything was mixed extremely well. Once I felt it was mixed I started second pour where I could see the first pour ended. it definitely self levels. I watched to match sure it ran into the corners which it did, so I went to opposite corner and continued the second pour. for third pour I used a single batch again and again mixed well. I started third pour in the spots not covered. My goal was for the epoxy to be level with the wooden coffee table edges and they seemed to be. After mixing each of the three batches the mixture ran clean, but seemed to have a lot of air bubbles. Once I completed all 3 pours most of the air bubbles were gone, but there were several I could see, so I used a heat gun to get rid of them. Just to make sure I went over entire area. my project was very level which may be why I did not need to use the smoothing tools, and as I previously mentioned, the product really self levels. Is my project perfect? No. I missed a couple air bubbles, but you only see them if you are looking for them. Most people won't even notice. Is my project perfectly level between epoxy and wooden edges. No, but the difference is minimal and again most people won't even notice. bottom line...its a good product that was fun to see it come together and if I was going to do another project like this or recommend a product to someone else i would recommend this product. ... show more

  • I have mixed feelings about DR CRAFTY :[
Size: 32 Ounces
About a year ago I began using epoxy. I started out with the most common brand, AMAZING Cast, but the only bottles I could easily come across were just 8 oz, and not lasting long enough, so I sought out to find a brand that made larger bottles, with good reviews. So I found and ordered PUDUO's Crystal Clear Kit. ( I saw that they also made HUGE bottles, so if I tried it and liked it, I would then purchase the HUGE tub of it.. right? WRONG). Now, I wasn't sure which one worked better / WAS BETTER FOR/ with, ME & my SPACE& needs - so I decided to find a 3RD brand to test out, and that is when I came across this, DR CRAFTY 16oz of each bottle, for a total of 32 oz!! I didn't bother going through all the reviews this time, because I KNOW how contradicting they can be, and some people just do not use epoxy correctly and blame the brand. Well, here is where my Mixed Feelings come in; I used this product as a top and final coat to my newest, most perfect, Rose gold & silver Glitter Tumbler and it was SOOOO messy!!! I WAS however able to fix it, mostly, with some TLC and extra elbow grease. I thought maybe I didn't mix it thoroughly, or maybe I used too much? So I started a new Tumbler, using solely DR CRAFTY epoxy, and again, got the same result, I'm not sure what they are called, but its like, the lines, swirls , indents, you can see on the dried green cup. :[ I was bummed out, but decided I'd try using the epoxy with my molds to see how it worked that way ; After 24 hours I checked on my 5 molds, and they were all still pretty tacky and sticky on top. I figured it'd probably need more time anyways, due to the thickness , so I waited another 24 hours. That brings me to right now; 2 of the 5 molds came out pretty great after 48 hours!! ( the pink "circle" & purple shot glass ) Rock solid, not heavy, actually pretty light, more comparable to a plastic material than a glass. The other 3 ; - the green square candle thing - ; took it out of the mold but the bottom ( which was the top) is still SOOO sticky and tacky, but would otherwise be perfect - the hot pink square coaster - completely ruined, felt more like a slime - circle flower glitter coaster - Came out EXCELLENT, only thing is, it needs to be sanded all along the edges - Final thoughts - Maybe I got a bad/defective batch? Or maybe this epoxy is not for small crafting, and most DEFINITELY not to be used on tumblers / cups!! this epoxy is NOT for beginners ... show more
