besides being light weight glasses the nose pads are some what hard, took them to local optometrist and had them replaced with soft gel nose pads, made a big difference in comfort and the cost was very cheap. I like the glasses very much and they work well for me at age 70.

I am pleased with these readers. Just got cataract surgery so had to start using these. I like fact there are hinges on bows that give flexibility to them- especially with the on-and-off daily routine. Three colours- one shiny metal, the other two darker. So, after 6 weeks using them I am pleased.

...Hello there... I can't begin to tell how many readers I have purchased in 60 years. I'm 72 yrs. young and still fairly mobile and do as many chores around my Ponderosa that I'm able to accomplish. That includes laying and rolling around in the driveway fixing my truck. That's the place I usually break a pair. I usually break most my readers right at the hinge. For my application and experience the past 4 years... is....these readers are not indestructible but offer me the best bang for my $buck$. The hinge is 'Springy'... forgiving and durable. I was buying frameless cheaters just because they were less imposing, and every one of them easily broke just from wiping them clean! These glasses aren't imposing, are rugged and look good, to boot!

I've owned a lot of reading lenses over the years. Some were for reading and others found use in detail workmanship. So I can say with absolute certainty that these glasses are not 3x. They are actually closer to 4-5x instead. Which is a not insignificant difference in magnification as I'm sure you may know. For comparison my 3x glasses let me sit about 2.5-3 feet or a meter or so away from the screen and comfortably read. These require me to be about 1 foot or maybe 30cm away for a clear view. Which is pretty straining on the eyes. Because I've used such high magnifications before I'm familiar with these, but other folks may not be so experienced. I'd recommend anyone looking to purchase these to select a magnification much lower than what you actually require. This is no knock on the glasses, as I'm sure they're just mislabeled. These are fine glasses and should last a very long time, they're just not what I ordered. ... show more

I have had these glasses for over a year now. In the past I've bought inexpensive "readers" frequently; they all have fallen apart or become scratched, or frames have bent. Fortunately I can wear these almost all the time so I don't take them on and off as much as some might. However I do lift them off my nose frequently when watching television. And that means I drop them quite bit. And I have a tendency to fall asleep with them on which with other pair has led to bending the frames. Not with these. I assumed I'd always have to replace readers at least every few months. And three pair for a very low price, hardly more than I've paid for one pair, led me to expect more of the same. To the contrary I have only needed one pair in all this time (excepting a few days when I misplaced them) and the other two are sitting in a drawer against the day I'll need them. They are perfectly comfortable, usable, and look like they are new. Given the price I am quite thrilled with the evident quality of these glasses. They are obviously sturdy and a very comfortable fit. Despite constantly polishing them with my shirt tail, there is not a single scratch on them. Another review says they are not really stainless steel - that may be true, I cannot say but I've seen no signs of wear at all, no corrosion or discoloring, the material looks like new and as I say they have held their shape and appearance despite almost constant wear. ... show more
