  • Best Mobile Controller - Better than Razer Kishi v1
This is an awesome controller. I usually play Xbox and am familiar with that layout, and this controller is the closest I have felt when it comes to mobile gaming. It is super responsive and feels sturdy. I actually purchased the Razer Kishi v1 before trying this, and was extremely unsatisfied with how mushy the buttons and triggers were, as well as how unwieldy it was. My hands felt so fatigued after just a few minutes of holding that controller, not to mention just how cumbersome it was with the whole “deploy” system. I really like how easy this controller is to take on/off as it slides onto the adjustable lightning port and then is tightly clamped in with the other side. There is very little wiggle room and it feels sturdy on the phone, especially compared to the Kishi. The joysticks are another great bonus as they were my initial concern, but they ended up being even better than the Kishi even before putting on the included joystick covers (1 set of concave (Xbox) and 1 set of convex (Playstation)). I heard many people say that they were similar to Switch joysticks, but in my opinion they are more like Xbox and I have both consoles. I think the Backbone sticks resemble the Switch a lot more than this. They are not flimsy, click inward, and have full rotation. The buttons are super responsive and are in no way mushy, which I actually prefer for mobile gaming since you deal with slight latency when playing on streaming services like xCloud, but even then the little I felt was just due to the service itself and not the controller. The triggers do click pretty loudly, but I don't mind it since they are so responsive. It feels slightly small in the hand (I’m 6’2” with pretty large hands) but is a 100% upgrade from the Kishi. I think the V3 is slightly bigger in terms of ergonomics, but I have not tried it since there is no IOS model yet. The only difference that would make me get the V3 over the V2 would be for that reason, and I know it includes a fan but it only works if you have it plugged in, so you may potentially need 2 wires connected if you want to charge your device at the same time. I have also not experienced any device overheating even after many hours of play (iPhone 11 Pro Max). In terms of charging, this controller actually allows for my device to be charged while using (!) as I noticed the Kishi only allowed my controller to be kept at the same percentage while playing which is a huge bonus for this controller. I would 100% recommend this controller to anyone looking to get into mobile gaming or curious to try out streaming services; sometimes its nice to use when the TV is being used or you just want to play for a little while, or even longer sessions. It also includes a super nice case to place it in when you are done, all for less money than the Kishi. I’m serious, get this controller even over the Backbone or Kishi. You won’t regret it! ... show more

  • It doesn’t work on tutorial for some games
Plug and play essentially. Good controller for the price and is solid. Works with a case on phone as well. Only issue I noticed is call of duty and apex legends tutorial doesn’t have controller support but once your through it works perfectly.

  • 4/5
It’s very comfortable while holding, controls feel natural and seamless. The only cons (minor ones at that) is that the charging is rather slow .. sometimes when playing apex mobile the pad doesn’t respond (could be an apex thing) and the only other thing I could say is that the phone will get hot. Need a way to help keep phone cool .. I still don’t take the game pad off the phone lol ... show more

  • Kid loves it
Was skeptical about buying this since I'm not the saviest at buying electronics from Amazon but was very surprised at the quality of this product. My daughter takes it everywhere with her!! Only thing is that she had to take her Popsocket off since it does not fit in there with it on.

  • It’s great in almost every way, but the iPhone 13 doesn’t fit properly
Quality of this product is excellent. I would recommend it for nearly any iPhone, with the exception of the iPhone 13 Pro which is the one that I have, as it doesn’t fit because the camera bump is too big. The side with the camera bump is lifted up, and the phone does not seat in the controller fully, which does pose a risk that it could potentially pop if its dropped. This does not affect the functionality at all, which is why I gave the controller four stars. I deducted one star because my phone does not fit properly in it. A simple redesign of the controller is necessary for future iterations I believe. If you have an iPhone 11 or earlier you should not have problems ... show more
