This power supply unit surprised me in several ways, both good and bad. When I originally ordered it I was expecting a modular power supply unit, and this is clearly non-modular. The cables themselves are the traditional red and yellow, but they have included black sheathing on top to sort of mask the ketchup and mustard colors. In truth, I was curious how a modular power supply could be made in this price tier as it's a little bit more expensive to make high quality ports and detachable cables. Non-modular units tend to not look as nice, which is more ideal for workstation builds that will be buried away and less ideal for those giant tempered glass side panel systems. You can always use cable extensions if you choose, though I tend to shy away from them for a variety of reasons. Down to the actual body of the power supply, there is an absolutely massive fan with a fan grate that can easily be removed without disassembling any other part of the power supply. The advantages of that are 2 fold, as the larger than average fan provides better airflow while also allowing you to generally have lower noise levels. Removing the grate also makes it easier to gently brush dirt away from those fan blades without touching any other part of the PSU assembly. There were a few included swag items including some padded stickers to let you know GamePower is "only for gamers." There are also some zip ties thrown in there, as well as 4 standard case screws for mounting the body of the PSU into your chassis. The cables themselves include most of the standard connectors you would expect, such as your 24 pin MB connector and various SATA, GPU, peripheral and Molex connectors. However missing is the nVidia 12V 12 pin connector that they are using for most GPUs now. That is a kind of sore spot for some people, but the fact remains they have been using that port for several years now. There is a very small number of people who refuse to use nVidia products, but you can get 6 pin and 8 pin adapters to connect to the 12 pin connection if needed. I doubt GamePower themselves manufactured this. Even some of the largest power supply brands in the world use other companies to make their PSUs. So I am not holding that as a negative. Every company in the space has to balance the mix of features and attributes that they require from OEMs in order to have a good product that they can sell and still make a profit. Clearly, having a large number of failing units or warranty complaints isn't what anybody wants, as it eats into already thin profit margins. CONCLUSION Installation is no different from any non-modular power supply. The unit works. The body is attractive, while the cables are much less so. The real issue comes down to the 80plus Bronze rating and the price. This is about the lowest efficiency I would ever choose, and this price puts this unit up against many better known brands. Installing it and handling it up close I do think it has the look of quality, but only time will tell how durable it really is. Also note, I didn't actually plug this into a scope to verify the power fidelity. This is the kind of test that is key for PSUs but it is beyond the capabilities of most reviewers. I sort of feel comfortable enough to say that I would indeed choose another unit from GamePower for future builds, but I would of course be comparing vs what the offerings are at that time. This Power Supply is mounted in my old computer and is functioning properly. I had to add a four plug connector to one of the six pin power connectors to accommodate my 2006 Mother Board. All is working well.

Perfect fit, easy replacement and quiet . Not crazy about the fan blowing from inside the case down, but since I was in I also added 2 more case fans so will be ok. The CPU power does not fit but ordered a reducer so had to wait a day with no pc.( my fault)

I recently purchased the 750W version of this PSU, and overall, I'm quite satisfied with it, especially considering the price point. While I do wish the efficiency rating was a bit higher, given that it's categorized as Bronze standard, it's still decent for the cost. Interestingly, the product images depict a modular PSU, but upon receiving it, I realized it's not as the title suggests. Despite this discrepancy, I found the PSU to be quite affordable, allowing me to opt for more wattage than my PC build actually requires. This decision, I hope, will contribute to the longevity of the PSU by operating it at a lower load, potentially reducing heat generation and noise output over time. Additionally, the PSU arrived with a few extras, such as stickers, zip ties, and screws, which was a nice touch. The installation process was straightforward, and so far, the PSU has been running smoothly without any issues. However, I did notice that there's no mention of a warranty, which could be a concern down the line. Nonetheless, the fan operates quietly, and the PSU has performed well, even under stress tests. Although it's not modular, managing the extra wires hasn't been too cumbersome due to the abundance of cables provided, allowing for multiple connections to GPUs and other components. Overall, while there are a few minor drawbacks, such as the lack of modularity and warranty information, I believe this PSU offers good value for the price, and I'm satisfied with my purchase. ... show more

I used this in a computer build for a friend with a ryzen 3600 CPU and an RTX 2070 GPU and it supplies power perfectly to the system, had all the necessary cables for hookup and should have plenty of room to spare if they upgrade down the line. The PSU is perfectly suitable for an ATX or micro ATX build as shown in the photo, and the cables had plenty of length to reach all the necessary power ports on the motherboard.
