  • AMAZING. Seriously.
Needed more power to supply my build, and it handles my system perfectly even with a VERY power hungry card (R9 290X). It is nice and quiet and features tons of lighting options.

  • Does well, but the CPU connector is 8-pin, so you'll probably have pins hanging off.
Style: HELIOS M1-450B
I got this for a rack PC system I was building. The box came with no instructions, usually not a big deal, but nothing is labeled, so make sure you know what you need where. The CPU power connection is two connections molded together, so at first I didn't think I had a CPU power connection. I just plugged it in with the other 4 cables hanging off the side and it powered on fine. Also, the connections are hard-wired, so you cannot remove anything you don't use. So with the 2 video power cables, I had to shove them to the side of the case to keep them out of the way, additionally, I am not using any SATA drives. So I only needed one 12V/5V Molex power cord, so again, I need to find a place to store those, not a game changer, but if you aren't going to use them, this may not be the best choice. But if you are building a larger system, this should do well for you. ... show more

  • Reliable and Efficient Power Supply
Style: HELIOS M1-450B
The GAMDIAS 450W Gaming PC PSU has proven to be a solid and reliable power source for my gaming setup. It's efficient and has been performing exceptionally well since installation. Pros: 80 Plus Bronze Certification: The 80 Plus Bronze certification ensures high efficiency, which means lower energy consumption and reduced heat output. Stable Power Delivery: With Active PFC, this PSU provides stable and consistent power, which is crucial for maintaining the performance and longevity of my PC components. Quiet Operation: Despite being a non-modular PSU, it operates quietly, with minimal noise even under heavy loads. Easy Installation: The non-modular design made the installation straightforward, and the included cables were sufficient for my setup. Durable Build: The build quality feels robust and reliable, providing peace of mind for continuous gaming sessions. Cons: Non-Modular Design: While the non-modular design was easy to install, it can lead to a bit more cable clutter compared to modular PSUs. Overall, the GAMDIAS 450W Gaming PC PSU is a great choice for anyone looking for a reliable, efficient, and affordable power supply for their gaming PC. It delivers excellent performance without breaking the bank. ... show more

  • Decent power supply but not a great value
Style: HELIOS M1-550B
This is a solid small power supply. The cable quality and length are pretty standard, it's difficult to run the cpu cable with any kind of decent cable management. You pretty much just have to stretch the cable and hope it reaches. The sata cables are super unnecessarily long. Overall it functions and works fine, but it's top end price wise for a 550w power supply. ... show more

  • Excellent product.
Style: HELIOS M1-450B
This works as intended, and I was able to use it in my CPU without any problems. It came really nice really wrapped so it was safe during this travel. It was pretty easy to install, and I haven’t had any issues so far, but I will update the review if I do have any issues. Hope this helps!

  • So far so good, but I wouldn’t put it in an expensive gaming rig
Style: HELIOS M1-550B
I got this to resurrect a hand-me-up machine that has been sitting for a little over a year. I don’t need a 1000w PSU (all specs indicate it should never, ever get above about 440w) and figured I’d give it a shot. Not overly expensive and while I haven’t ever heard of the brand, that isn’t always an indication of quality. First, the good: - It works. That sounds stupid but there is always that nagging doubt in the back of your mind “have I just consigned myself to moving after the house fire I’m about to start”, or at least “will it even power on”. - It has enough connections for what I need. That is, a passel of SATA power connections, ATX and CPU connections and a pair of 8-pin PCIe power connections (two on a single run). It also has a few ATA Molex connectors which I don’t need but it’s not hurting anything. - The cables are plenty long for most cases…but more on that below. - It has sufficient power for the needs of this machine. - It’s surprisingly quiet The “meh”: - Good heavens the cables. They are really long. My kids would kill me if I put this in a rig that was intended to show off clean cabling and RGB lights. The case I have has room to (neatly) fold the cables on the non-glass side, but there is a LOT of cable to fold up. - The CPU power cable is just barely long enough to get to the plug around the CPU cooler unless I want a ton of slack on the motherboard side of things and potentially foul the CPU cooler fan. It’s a really odd dichotomy of really long cables that are almost too short. - It’s the bare minimum anyone sells from an efficiency standpoint. 80+ Bronze is the absolute lowest bar. - I think the fan speed thing is a gimmick, but don’t have any proof. And now for The Bad: - This appears to be a “group regulated” power supply that says right on the label the 12v max is 504W, which I think is probably a bit generous. There are a number of reasons this isn’t ideal, but many people can explain it better than I can. It’s not a deal killer, because the CPU and GPU on this machine aren’t going to bump up against that, but a power hungry GPU could, in theory, overload this PSU. Final thoughts: So far so good, but I can’t get over the cable thing…too long while being almost too short. Maybe it’s a me thing. I’m also a bit surprised that in this day and age anyone would still cut corners and produce a group regulated PSU. The additional cost is negligible to split regulation for the 12V and 5V rails rather then regulate them together. It’s kind of silly but I guess when you produce several hundred thousand and save $1 each, it can add up. The price isn’t bad, and it’s working as expected and like I mentioned, it’s surprisingly quiet. End result, I’d probably spend a few dollars more and get another brand that isn’t group regulated, is at least partially modular and maybe even higher wattage if it’s on sale. ... show more

  • Good for the price
Style: HELIOS M1-450B
Great power supply for the price. No issues so far. Not a fan of the fixed cables, but you get what you pay for. This is a quality budget power supply.

  • A Nice Entry-level PSU for a Small/Mid-Range Computer
Style: HELIOS M1-550B
The price doesn’t make it that competitive which better known options but in a micro-ATX system with onboard GPU it worked great. It is quiet even when pulling about 375w so that’s a nice plus. The biggest issue for me is how LONG these cables are. Since they aren't modular get ready to practice your origami and cable hiding skills to make this work. Also of note, you only have two GPU adapters, which is good because at 500-550w this isn’t going to be powering a 3090 or up very well. Again, great for a starter system with low power requirements so maybe worth it if the price dips below the competition. ... show more
