*edit don’t buy this here. Go straight to the source. “Shop Disney” all is good and it’s way cheaper. I really wanted this saber because this is THE Star Wars lightsaber. The “graflex”… think of all that it’s been through throughout the trilogies… It killed Count Dooku, cut off Windu’s hand, slaughtered a bunch of younglings, was part of and overly cgi lightsaber battle, got Luke through most of his training, was in Lukes hand when he lost it, and then was made into a big deal in a whole other trilogy… having said THAT, this piece looks and feels like what I would expect from an actual lightsaber hilt.. I’ve had several Hasbro black series sabers, but this is my second galaxy’s edge one (BMF was my fist) and I don’t think I can go back. There’s just so much more authenticity to the feel and look. The ability to remove the blade is sweet too in case you ever want to cos play with just the hilt on your belt. Great display piece, but there are some down points..: this one isn’t a big deal, but the on/off switch isn’t at all where you think it should be.. the Red button looking thing is what I was hoping would turn it on but it’s actually a slide switch.. that toothed gold bar on the rectangular silver protrusion halfway down the hilt is the switch. It’s the only part made of plastic too for the most part. Also the electronics were a little disappointing.. there’s a cool sound effect when you attach the blade, the color is a nice vibrant blue, but the motion sensor doesn’t work well for the swinging sound effect, it’s either late or non-existent.. it takes a couple of good whacks to get the ‘clash’ sound effect, and the idle hum was very staticky sounding. Not even like Kylo Rens saber, like actual speaker going out static. I will say when the clash effect does work, the blade flashes white, which is something cool the black series sabers don’t do. Ultimately, if you have the money, and are a huge fan like I am, I say go for it..it’s a great collectors piece. ... show more

    • Poor sound quality
Battery holder is poor quality..the bottom is coming off and I just opened it...sound quality is very poor...the saber hum isn't a steady sound...it gets loud then silent...when you swing it doesn't make the swing sound like it's supposed too...the clash effect and sound doesn't work...they put stickers all over the hilt so when you take them off it leaves a sticky residue you have to clean off...the activation switch is plastic and poorly made...Disney just sucks all the way around when dealing with Star Wars...not worth 400 bucks at all...I'm sad ... show more
