i can understand about a bum refrigerator what i cannot understand is customer service. No one at Galanz knew what the instruction installation meant. They cannot pick up or send someone out. Amazon delivery happened on saturday instead of the following monday (hint: choose in front of your house, then there's no scheduling and you might get things earlier!). Easily moved the (relatively at 120#) light fridge into place with a hand cart, unwrapped it and let it sit for 10 hours before plugging it in and setting the temp. With a temp sensor in both the fridge and the freezer I can confirm that it reached desired temperature in a reasonably fast amount of time, holds the temp well, and thus far is extremely quiet. I'll update this review if things change but for now I'm extremely happy with the purchase price of the appliance AND the 5 yr coverage (which at the time of ordering was only an additional $11.) My biggest surprise from the fridge so far is the LED lights (only in the fridge section) are actually bright and useful rather than the traditional bulb (IMHO). Cool setting is easily (if not precisely) set with a dial in the freezer section (cold to coldest) and a push button option in the fridge section (repeated pushing of the button changes the setting from 1 to 5, again being warmer to coldest.) ... show more

Bought this to replace the office fridge that was basically a mini fridge I had from college. It's awesome for what we need it for AND we can have ice cream on hand or just ice I guess too. We have 6 people in the office 5/6 people bring their lunch on a daily basis plus snacks, plus bottles of water, plus sodas, plus condiments. This thing is amazing. I was using a small college fridge forever and didn't think I could afford any better until I realized this size existed, and at this price. I'm so happy to be able to store more than a couple days food at a time! (As you can see from me transferring my stuff over in Pic haha)

Any advantages to having this refrigerator are outweighed by the faulty temperature control. Ice accumulates on the back wall of the fridge and especially behind and under the crisper basket. Any salad oils freeze, my lemons froze in the crisper. Food or drinks are too cold to eat or drink. And this is regardless of where the thermostat is set. Also I found the manual confusing regarding the temperature control. It states that the higher numbers mean a lower temperature and visa versa; it also states that the coldest temperature setting is 7 and the lowest temperature setting is 1; it also states that the setting doe not reflect the actual temperature. I have tried various temperature setting, made sure there is space at the sides and the back. I have defrosted it according to instructions (there was a block of ice an inch thick, 3 or 4 inches tall and the width of the refrigerator behind the crisper). I will be calling the company to see about a refund or replacement. Sooo disappointing. ... show more
