Great color. Simple but effective. One thing they may not explain about the main turn dial. You "press it" to get 30 seconds, but you can turn it to dial in longer times such as 8, 9, 10 minutes and so on. The clock will not stay on during power failures. I think this is a fault of most brands of microwaves and it's annoying. I'm glad appliances have become attractive again. This is showpiece in the kitchen. It's easy for guests to learn quickly without too many confusing buttons. The power level is "just about" inline with most guidelines on frozen foods. Bumped this rating up because despite my unsatisfaction with the company support, the oven itself is very nice. My “must-haves” for a microwave were: 1) A +30 second button (not 60), which on this one is big and easy, in the middle of the knob. 2) An actual handle on the door instead of a button (although the hinges feel a bit flimsy). 3) Holds large dinner plates. This one holds 12” and yet the overall size is compact. Other nice features: The clock/display is white and extremely bright. The overall retro look (red) is very cool. The clock also can do 24-hr mode if you use military time. OLD review but still unresolved: The process for registering the warranty online is broken. To enter "date of purchase" it doesn't let you pick anything later than 31 Dec 2023. I tried anyway because my receipt shows the correct date, but when I click "Submit" it just spins forever without showing any result or progress, and I don't receive the email confirmation. ... show more

For those who have problems with shipping damage, this is my preference on how to avoid problems. When checking out, look and see if you have an option to ship in an Amazon box. This isn't always the case, but it was with this microwave. Therefore, it will come packed in two boxes, and thus helps with the delivery guys throwing stuff around. Microwave was well packed inside original box. I LOVE this microwave. It is not loud, easy to operate. Love the brightness of the clock. For the reviewer that said the timer doesn't work. Yes it does! No, your food won't cook at the same time. That is not what the timer is for. The timer is to be used for anything that you are timing. I have for example my Dr. Harvey's dehydrated dog food. After heating the water, then adding the food...it needs to sit for 12 minutes to complete the rehydration process. I don't want to cook it, just time it while it is sitting. Timer helps with that final step. Love the looks. I am hoping it lasts. It did come with a 3-prong cord. I recommend it! ... show more

I knocked a star because it doesn't seem to be very powerful, but to be fair, I haven't used a countertop/small microwave in a long time. We moved to a house that didn't have the standard microwave above the stove and needed something to go on our coffee station. We needed something small, and I wanted it to be more attractive than the standard stainless steel. This is so satisfying to look at and use! I love the controls. It even fits our large dinner plates perfectly! Expect to add some time to heating things up, but it heats evenly and does it QUIETLY! Definitely a winner. ... show more

I love it. There is a learning curve to setting times & get accustomed to the knobs but I love the color and I love how it is both pretty & mighty in its performance. Especially ideal if you want something smaller, appealing, & strong enough to get the job done.
