I used scissors and cut out the middle design so it’s just the design I use which I really like the simple design. It’s super light weight, sturdy, rolls flat pretty fast after having it rolled up for a while, and it doesn’t have a strong rubber/chemical smell like many mats when you first get them. The size and thickness is about what you would expect for a mat of this price. It is fairly comfortable but since it's so thin the padding will only help so much. The pattern is exactly as advertised and it looks nice. The mat did not shift around on my basic test run. The mat has a strong smell to it though. While not too offensive to my nose my dog refuses to even go near the mat and will walk away from me if I'm carrying it. So I'm docking a star for that. Great mat, especially for the price. I bought it in March 2024. After using the mat for a few weeks, about a dozen times, I can report that any of the bad reviews can be ignored if you read the product information completely. Smell: As stated in the product care instructions in the seller's description, the mat has a strong chemical smell. I wiped it down and let it air out for a day and it was fine. Thin: Yes. And the description says it is only 0.2" thick. Slippery: I didn't find this to be the case. It grips just enough and lets me move on the mat just enough. Not good on hardwood floors: I disagree. I have hardwood floors and I didn't have a problem with the mat staying put, but my floors are not particularly shiny. Oily: Not my experience at all! I took it to my office, which is carpeted, and bought the GAIAM thick exercise mat for home. It's much nicer for my knees! ... show more
