  • These are awesome
For the money you can't beat these air struts, easy install and work great, gives me flexibility pulling my cargo trailer for work, then just let some air out for a comfortable drive with no load, also my truck is a Chevy Silverado 06 6.0L v8 LT, lifted 3" on 35's. Using lift brakets you can use these stock struts. ... show more

  • Stop the leaking
Worked great on the truck once I figured out why the air line leaked. Have to run about 120psi with the 6500 pounds I pull to keep it from bottoming out. Pretty decent ride. Any less air and it's bouncy

  • Great Price, Great functionality
I decided to purchase these to help with sagging and overall ride quality on my truck. I have a 2004 Silverado LS extended cab truck. It has a belltech drop kit. Its lowered 2" in the front and 4" in the back. The truck overall has a level stance but I do have a fiberglass tonneau cover so it sag very little due to the weight. Anything I put in the back makes it worse. I was pleased with the shocks, they were bigger in diameter than expected. I've include some pics to compare the size of the old shock to the new one. The installation was not difficult. The instructions are not great but if you have ever replaced anything on a vehicle you can manage changing out the shocks. I really advise to have the right tools I had to find a small bar so that I had more leverage to break the bolts loose. Other than that the only problem I had was that the valve stems are short and fit deep instead the valve. The tire inflator that I have will not push down on the valve stem so it will not take air. I am planning to correct this by trimming down the valves so that the inflator will be able to reach farther and engage the valve stem. Reading other comments it seems other people have had the same issue. You might be able to unscrew the valve stem but when I tired it, it would leak air. I was going to try to hook the hoses up to a firestone air gauge that I have mounted in the truck but the air hoses on the shocks are very very small. I was surprised on how thin of a hose it uses. I am going to have to see if I can find some reducers to even consider hooking things up to a gauge. With that being said do not expect these to air up fast like air bags. There will not air up fast but they will air up. ... show more

  • Don't Waste Your Money
I put these on my 2012 GMC Sierra 1500 to level the rear of my truck when I would use an auto hauler. When I bought these the window that says these will or will not fit your vehicle indicated they would. Why would I buy something that did not or would not fit? Now the window says they won't! The shocks fit my truck just fine and were easy to install. Installation took place at approximately 15,000 miles and they seemed to work really well over the last few of years. I only used the auto hauler approximately 5 times in the time the shocks were on the truck. The rest of the time the truck was used just as transportation with nothing in the bed. About a month ago, at about 45,000 miles I noticed a knocking noise...is that a good description?....coming from the rear of the truck when I would go over a bump. I have a 4 post lift in my garage and today I put the truck on the lift to check things out. I found that all of the bushings had become loose and the rubber had migrated out of position so that the ends of the shocks were no longer centered in the mounting brackets on the truck, and the edges of the ends were rubbing on the brackets! Plus the "Bell" on the top of one of the shocks had broken loose from the shaft and was free floating. I've used Gabriel shocks over the years and they used to be really good quality. Now they're just another piece of junk made in Mexico...or to be politically correct..Hecho en Mexico. So I would recommend to not waste your money on these. UPDATE: I ordered the ACDelco air shocks for the rear of my truck to replace the above shocks. When I received the Delco shocks and opened the box guess what....they are the identical shock as the the Gabriel that "won't fit my vehicle". The number stamped on the shock absorber is the same on both brands! And both are made in Mexico... I noticed on the Delco shocks that one of the bushings was already misshapen and was positioned wrong in the shock end. So I opted to return the ACDelco shocks before even installing them. Why replace junk with junk? ... show more

  • Great little shocks, fit my 03 Sierra longbed 4x4 perfect!
Excellent shocks for the price. I recently purchased a 2003 Sierra with 94,000 miles. The truck is in great condition overall, but as you can imagine its sat quite a bit so some things needed tending to. My rear shocks were very rusty (well, for a southern vehicle) and this truck had a bed shutter on highway speeds and very bad upon braking at nearly any speed above 35. (The rotors and pads are fine) Upon replacing these my shake was immediately resolved and my rear end stopped sagging. Truck rides, brakes and tows great now! For everyday driving with an empty bed I run 55 psi. Towing (usually around 4500 lbs) I run 150 psi. This kit does include the air line kit. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Shocks and springs were tired from hauling my race car trailer all over, paired these with new moog springs, and got that saggy tush sitting tall again. Hopefully they last.

  • Great replacement shocks, great price
I had 20 year old pair of air shocks on my 1998 Dodge Ram and one started to leak. Purchased these as a replacement and they made a great difference in the ride and handling in my old truck.
