    • excellent beginner setup and fantastic value
this was my 2nd airbrush after trying out the master 233 to see if the tool was something i wanted to use for modeling. they run the same price but are not equal. this sprays far better and does a much wider range of paints when the master struggled with anything too thick or thin. this atomizes well with much less air pressure than the master allowing thinner paints without spiderwebbing. the nozzle on this line is different than anything else out there with the multi-fluted design and is a joy to take out and clean unlike the screw in style used by most others even costing far more. the oring in the nozzle cap is a great addition. the only thing i wish they would do different is somehow mark the nozzles and nozzle caps to allow easy distinguishing between the sizes. the air valve itself is less than what i’d expect as out of two units both leak a tiny amount of air back into the body which has not seemed to effect spraying paint however does show a slight build issue in that part or how it fits into the body. i used the first unit out of the box with the small cup as i like a lighter airbrush, switching between needles and loving it however when i went to prime a larger kit i found my large paint cup to be deformed at the threads causing it to not screw in to the body. o co tasted gaahleri and within a day had a resolution offered. while an unconventional solution they offered to send me a model 39 that had been returned to amazon as they were totally out of new units reasoning the cup would be salvageable and solve my issue the fastest. i was fine with this and a few days later received a totally clean unit that seemed unused. it did have a pronounced hiss indicating an air leak when the trigger was pressed down while the nozzle was capped and i assume this is why it was returned. i disassembled it and put some lube in the right places and it still leaks lol but far less and as far as i can tell it still sprays as good and sometimes i think even better than the first unit. i know the valve can be replaced with aftermarket one that is better but it would be better to crown this as king of the inexpensive models if this had a valve that fit/sealed better out of the box. i find this had a much tighter cone than the master has with all but it’s .2mm needle which clogs easily and is frankly not fair to compare with the gaahleri. i prefer the spray pattern of the gaahleri. the extra nozzle seals are great though i wish it came with extra oring or two for the nozzle cap. that fell in my sink the third day i had it and they aren’t easy to find a replacement for and an extra teflon ring for the paint cup would be awesome. the trigger response is not great and feels a little rough on the first model i received. pulling it back is not a smooth feeling and about 60% back it seems to grab on something that causes just enough resistance to make the remaining 40% of travel happen faster than desired as the effort to get past the sticking point results in added force which then translates to speed when past the hang up. it’s not awful but it is not great. it also is not a problem on the second unit at all. that one is pretty smooth as far as budget airbrushes go. outside those couple gripes i find that this is a fantastic value for how well it sprays a variety of paints. it’s not great for heavier metallics and micas they clog it pretty fast but most everything else sprays awesome. i’d definitely recommend. i now have several more brushes including me hobby, iwata and the gaahleri 98 and find myself using this a fair bit still. ... show more

I came across this airbrush from a youtube video of someone I trust to give an honest opinion. I've been using a masters airbrush for quite sometime. it's ok the trigger was starting to get sticky and My finger was getting really tired after long spray sessions. But this air brush is amazing. Super easy to take apart and clean. The mirror finish is everywhere. It sprays so nice. i've yet to have a clog. I've had some dry tip, but so super easy to clean. The fact the tips don't thread on. Just like it's 400$ counter part. I think the micro streams of air are not just marketing speak. If you're just getting to air brushes, YOu can't go wrong here. ... show more

I ordered one of these to go into my collection as a primer gun. The only problem was, the trigger, when depressed about 1mm gave air , anything beyond that it would shut off. Ok, so if you are an experienced air brush artist you are used to having trigger control, however, that is designed for the second action on a double action gun. Paint flow. Needless to say, I figured the air valve assembly was defective. And guess what, so did their support staff. They sent me a totally new airbrush, and all is well now. The gun works great, I love the nozzle on this thing and its pretty easy to clean. So lets re-cap. Two cup sizes with lids, two needles and air caps, and phenomenal support. Look, it would not be as great a detail brush like my Harder and Steenbeck, but it is perfect for what I want it for. You can't go wrong with this airbrush if starting out, ... show more

I received the airbrush today. For the price the construction is great. Everything looks strong. The airbrush trigger doesn't look bulky an feels right. The small paint cup is not polished. Still have lines from production. That doesn't bother me. I dont do professional airbrushing i just build model kits. One of the things that made me bought this airbrush is they spray test their airbrush before they send them for sale. For my surprise mine wasn't tested and the box seal looks like it was opened before I received. The airbrush looks clean and all the parts are in the box. ... show more

    • Thought I got a more expensive gun on accident honestly.
I had to come back and compare the images because I truly thought I got a 200 dollar gun instead of the ordered. This gun is so easy to use and the flow rate is perfect. The size is great and the quality unmatchable at this price. The noise is just as any other high quality airbrush.

    • Worth twice the price, easy.
This was only my second airbrush purchase ever. My first was a budget kit that came with a handheld compressor. Not the one that Gaahleri makes, just a random Chinese brand that ended up being surprisingly great. That being said, this particular Gaahleri airbrush is far superior to that off brand one in every way. The fit and finish are immaculate. Not a tool mark or scratch anywhere. Laser engraving of the name is perfect. The polish on the inside of the cups is incredible and frankly, unheard-of for an airbrush at this price point. Again, no scratches or tool marks anywhere. The trigger has a nice spring to it and doesn't feel gritty at all, even right out of the box. A very nice, comfortable, and premium feeling weight to it when the smaller of the two included cups is in use. When the larger, and equally as well made, cup is attached, the weight is obviously increased, but nothing that isn't easily gotten used to. I have every intention of picking up at least one more of these fantastic airbrushes for my arsenal. Its just too good a price for what you are getting. Check the description of the brush, its crazy what they include. I have no idea how they do it, but I'm so glad they do. Oh, also, as if this tool isn't already a steal at its regular price point, you can occasionally get a discount when it pops up here. Mind blown! ... show more
