  • Some concerns.
Capacity: 5TB Style: Hard Drive
The drive is not recognized by Windows 10 if using a hub. Tried two hubs (Sabrent and another company). I just use the on-board USB port. Also, I could not rename the drive. It shows ARMOR ATD. Expensive 5 tb drive.

  • Slow but sure.
Capacity: 4TB Style: Hard Drive
Really good price for 4tb. About 3.6 tb is usable. I back up a synology nas once a month with this. Super easy to use. The initial backup of over 3 tb of info on my nas took about 14 hours- so its by no means fast- but I don't need it to be fast. Very sturdy build- looks good.

  • Good, Indistructable & Very Fast. Works between my Mac and PC
Capacity: 5TB Style: Hard Drive
I’m an animator and use a lot of drive space and I move data everywhere including across my Intranet to bigger NAS drives. I use 20+ different programs between Mac and PC so this drive was perfect. This has become my PORTABLE working drive for my Macbook. I partitioned it with a 25% PC and a 75% MAC partition (the Mac can do this) so I can run Native Mac apps with it, but also transfer files To and From my PC. The Mac can use both partitions and the PC only sees the PC partition. Its fast and I’ve off loaded a lot of data from my Macbook freeing up space and I have all of my PC files at my fingertips with tons of free space left over. ... show more

  • Not very fast, but works well otherwise
Capacity: 4TB Style: Hard Drive
It looks nice, it does everything I need it to, came with nice usb c with standard usb adapter, and I haven't even half filled it up yet. Max write speed I have seen from this is around 100mb/s peak. I don't remember what it promised, but I have tried with multiple different usb 3.0 and 3.1 devices. Also it shows up as 3.6tb total. These could just be my problems, but this is not especially fast if that's what you're looking for ... show more

  • Works great and looks awesome
Capacity: 4TB Style: Hard Drive
Hard drive storage back up. I've purchased two and will now purchase a third one, so yes I recommend this product. Of course like all portable drives, this one comes with what I consider "crap ware". Like all other drives I've purchased in the past, I delete everything that comes pre-loaded on the drive before I use it. Highly recommend everyone do the same. Do you really want your personal and work files automatically uploaded to the cloud??? I also highly recommend you do not use their "encryption" software, all mass produced drives with encryption software have backdoor keys at the factory, use Truecrypt, no backdoors. ... show more

  • No... just no
Capacity: 5TB Style: Hard Drive
Let me start by saying that this product was recommended to me by many photographers and videographers both personally known and on forums or websites. I loved it at first, I ranted and raved... the color, the form, etc. Instead of buying a Seagate with a case or a bumper, this was all in one - 5 TB of pure joy. Then the nightmare started... I loved that the cable was USB C to USB C especially because I didn't need to worry about any adapter, dongle, anything... BUT that came at a price. The opening for the cable on the hard drive is very narrow and it feels like it doesn't go all the way in. Fine... If that's what it takes fine... I used it for more than a week and faced 0 issues other than the cable's annoyingness. I came home from shooting a Bar Mitzvah, dumped all the footage, watched the transfer finish, and headed off to bed. Fast forward the next afternoon when I went to start culling and the hard drive isn't showing up. I reboot, unplug, replug, I switch cables, everything... it's not showing up. I plug it into my husband's MacBook, same thing. I plug it into my mom's Windows laptop - no go. I'm grateful that I never clear a card until the pictures have been culled and edited. I used one of my Seagate drives and backed up the pictures there, not even thinking about ejecting a drive that wasn't showing up.... but randomly it did. First thing I did was wipe it, second thing I did was start the return process with Amazon. ... show more
