  • CAS9/800 auto set by SPD... BUY THESE MODULES!
These are the GSKILL modules to buy... the "D" series. These are programmed to run CAS9 at 800 (1600) out the gate. The other "S" series modules will have their SPD profiles set to CAS11 by SPD, so if you cannot manually override that in the BIOS, you are stuck with the more conservative timings. I have tried both... These are markedly better performing kits, for just a few bucks more. Depending on the type of workload you put on your RAM, it can mean a difference of anywhere from 100mb/sec raw speeds, up to nearly 1GB/sec transfer rate in Windoze. Can also have an impact on SSD's when using a slice of memory as an additional write cache. My Crucial has it's own proprietary write cache that uses system RAM, and my secondary Sandisk and USB3 PNY drives are just using regular disk cache at the OS level--all of them improved slightly over the CAS11 modules. Overall, my system seems more stable... even older games seemed to have lost some of their quirky stutter here and there, which was a nice bonus. Definitely a strong buy, especially at today's prices. ... show more

  • Work great!
I have read tons of reviews of people saying it didn't speed up their machine... of course it didn't. If you want to speed up your computer get a new Processor. The processor is the brain, the RAM is basically the short term memory. By upgrading your RAM you are increasing the amount of things you can do at one time, it can also boost your computers internet speed. Upgrading a processor is a lot more complicated on a laptop. Ask for professional help. You may have to get a new motherboard if your cpu is not slotted. Which is very complicated, get help from a licensed individual. How to tell if your machine can use these: -Google your model and search max ram. If it says 16gbs then you can run these. -Just to be safe also check your processors max supported RAM. If those are clear then also check what kind of ram you need. You can also find this with your model number. -These are DDR3 ram sticks, which is the standard now a days. Just double check. Now why you would need more ram: -If your a gamer. I do not suggest usong these to try and boost your graphics card. Get a card with at least 1gb dedicated video ram not max. -If your computer is freezing up and your task manager says your memory is almost maxing out. I hope this helps someone. I sadly didn't look up my processor. It maxes at 8gb ram, however luckily my wifes computer had 8gb of the same type of ripjaws. She could handle 16gbs so we just switched, was worth it since my ram was 7 years old. Work great! ... show more

  • Work Perfectly with my Toshiba Satellite C55-C5241
I bought those Ram For my Toshiba Satellite C55-C5241 15.6 Inch Laptop (Intel Core i5, 8GB, 1 TB, Windows 10, Black) It had 8 GB installed Ram. The Toshiba website said that is the Max that i can have on this laptop. After doing some research i found out that this specific Ram can be compatible with my laptop at it was as slow as F*** and i couldn't take it any more so i decided to try this ram and see what will happen before i throw my laptop and buy new one. First i installed those ram and immediately i noticed difference in everything. Improvement in speed and everything. Second I Decided to buy an SSD to improve my laptop more and i bought this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OBRFFAS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Samsung 850 EVO 1TB 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-75E1T0B/AM) I bought the 1 TB Version of it and Everything Skyrocketed Now my laptop is better than the brand new. I use it for everything. I am a software engineer, I use it for coding C# , Java , SQL, ect ... I also use the laptop for gaming i generally play diablo 3 and stuff like that. Things are now far way better than it was before. No lag no S***. Unless i missed up and opened s*** applications that causes system errors and stuff . I really Recommend it for this Laptop just make sure it is compatible with your laptop because this version has specific specs. Again ( MAKE SURE THAT THIS IS THE RIGHT RAM FOR YOUR COMPUTER OR ELSE IT MIGHT NOT WORK AT ALL OR IT MIGHT DAMAGE YOUR COMPUTER) ... show more

  • This very fast G.SKILL Ripjaws Series RAM works great in my Dell Latitude E7240
This G.SKILL Ripjaws Series ram is very fast with a reduced number of wait states compared to the stock ram and ram from other vendors. The speed of ram is not just the clock speed (1600 MHz), it is also the latency (or wait states). You must consider both. Sometimes ram with a lower rated clock speed, but lower latency can be faster. However this ram has both a fast clock speed and low latency! SPEED = clock_speed / latency The CAS latency 9-9-9-28 is less than any other RAM could find that is compatible with my E7240. The speed makes my E7240 noticeably faster. The increased memory from 4GB to 16GB allows my computer to do large data set computational tasks easily. My big spreadsheets execute much faster, and the speed of processing high resolution photo edits with ACDSEE Ultimate is also noticeably faster. ... show more

  • Excellent Upgrade for a Mid-2012 MacBook Pro
I got this RAM to upgrade my mid-2012 MacBook Pro (the last of the upgradable Macs) to its maximum of 16GB. I specifically chose this brand over others due to the low latency, though I don't know if that actually makes any discernible difference in performance. It works, though. Plug and play, and I'm totally happy with it. ... show more
