To set some expectations at the start, this is a $35 part (compared to $370 at the dealer). Bearing this in mind, maybe we can dismiss some of the complaints about it such the lack of nuts (Toyota part # 90179-05102 - $1.50) or double-sided tape to stick the Toyota emblem back on? The black primer finish is ok too and doesn't need painting in my opinion. The part itself was a perfect fit on my 2004 - swapping the switch over was the most time-consuming bit. To keep water out, make sure the rubber seal just below the glass fits *over* rather than *behind* the part. Same with the SKS blanking plate - use some RTV to keep things dry. Who knows how long these will last? But at this price I can buy one every year for the next ten years, and still save on the dealer price. ... show more

Some of the included press in clips where junk and performance was sub par for fit. It requires sanding and trimming of some of the back plastic to get it to sit perfectly, the locking button attached to this is worthless and I don’t understand why it was included luckily I had the stock and it inserted into the panel's hole perfectly, rear camera and Plate light all fit perfect. Had to add some RTV to one clip because it was to big of a hole. If you’ve never done vehicle service panels I would seek help from someone else with experience because this is a vehicle that will make you hate simplicity. I didn’t paint because it doesn’t matter to me, it’s held up well and has less flex than stock. ... show more
