I printed one of these and ordered the same from Amazon. What I received was so much better than the one I made. Mine was printed in PETG and in comparison was roughly rendered. The one I bought was cast in an injection mold using nylon. Beautiful! Also much more durable and accurate. Some things are ment to be bought, not printed, especially if cost and "fit and finish" are as important to you as they are for me. So, just buy this thing and install it. ... show more

I opened the clips with my flathead screwdriver that was included with the ender 3. I actually ordered two of these but ended up using less than 1. You can see in the photo, my bed cable is pushed a little far into the Z axis screw, and I didn't want the chain getting caught on it. I also didn't want to weigh down the cable leading to the hot end too much, so YMMV. I am glad I ordered two because I was able to use the ends of the other one to nicely zip tie the two cables. ** UPDATE: I had only been printing very small things that stayed in the center area of the printer. I just recently printed some big items that took almost the entire bed. When the nozzle moves that far, the drag chain is a bit heavy so it lays on the bed itself. It's possible for it to get caught on things because of the weight. I'm probably going to have to remove quite a few more links for the connection from the nozzle. ... show more

I spend weeks printing and hand-refining my own drag chain for my 3d printer, and at best the home made chain was awful, and too small to feed the cable with connectors through. This chain opens so you can lay the wires in and replace them later as needed, it has a smooth movement and is made from a super durable material. Excellent product! ... show more
