Assembly is very easy for this piece, and once complete it is quite sturdy. I was concerned about the gold being too much, but it is a nice dark shade that doesn't overpower. The product isn't very easy to assemble. First, you'll need a hammer to bang the side pieces together! Second, the little to to screw things in is pretty cheap and doesn't work very well. What should have been a 15 minute assembly was double! Once finished, it's very cute.

I got two of these to stand side by side. They assembled in simply with the hex wrench provided in about 15 minutes each and pretty simply as these things go. They seem strong and sturdy and accurately represented. If this sort of small bookcase is what you are seeking this one is a good choice.

This is a cute shelf. I expected it 5 inches higher, but it’s not the end of the world. I wanted something that would fit underneath the window and was sturdy enough to hold my heavier plants on top shelf, so they could catch the light. I got 2 shelves, one box was missing the instructions and 2 long screws. I think it must of been a return since the screws bag was stapled closed & not sealed (like in my other box). Once I had the instructions putting them together was easy. Did it all by myself lol. I’m attaching the instructions jic they are missing in yours. ... show more
