Ordered this cord to replace on which had finally failed on me. As a Wedding DJ, I do my best to use solid equipment, including wires. As son as I plugged this wire in and powered on the speaker, it not only hummed by had a "fast, repetitive clicking sound." I immediately unplugged the cable and replaced with an older spare. I had to return the item, and was quickly and graciously offered my refund. In addition to the noise issue (and perhaps the CAUSE of the noise), the female XLR end of the cable did NOT fit snugly into my controller/mixer... I would not recommend this manufacturer for this type of product... (Revised 11/6/18) After posting this review, the seller contacted me about the problem, and sent TWO new cables for me to use by way of apology. I will not have a need for these cables until next month, and will try them and post an updated review at that time. At THIS point, I am upgrading this item to a 2-star review simply based on the customer service. UPDATE--- I have now had the opportunity to use these cables and found the sound to be clean, and without any interference. I can’t tell the difference in the sound between this and an XLR cable one plugged into a PA system. I bought this specifically to plug into an amplifier and it works fine. It seems like it will last a long time.
