I was nervous about getting this because there’s so many people who say it’s hard to put together “my husband builds furniture and he said this is the hardest piece he’s ever built blah blah blah…” I’m a 29 year old woman…I built the entire thing by myself. Is it time consuming? Yes. Are there a lot of screws and pieces? Yes. Is it hard at all? No. Are the instructions hard to follow? No. Seriously if you just take your time and pay attention to the details the instructions aren’t hard to follow at all. Nothing about this was hard to put together. Mine wasn’t missing any pieces. There were two doors where the holes were pre-drilled incorrectly (or I was just accidentally sent two left side doors) but the wood is really soft pine wood. You do not need to pre-drill any holes if there are any missing or incorrectly placed holes you can literally just screw any screws into the wood with a screwdriver and a bit of pressure no big deal. I only used my drill really slowly on the hinges because that was just easier for me so I could make sure the doors were hung level. I used a screwdriver for literally every other screw. It’s a great value for the money. It’s sturdy once built. It looks great. I don’t have anything negative to say about it! I’d recommend this piece to anyone who doesn’t mind assembling furniture! ... show more

Pretty good quality for a “build it yourself ” piece of furniture. It is real wood! It’s stained with no clear coat. It does take quite a bit of time to put together (3 hrs mostly by myself). It would have helped if all the pieces were marked. Some pieces had no numbers and the instructions had pictures and numbers only! I did manage to put it together with minimal help. A little hard to put together with the instructions given. A lot of pieces. Took longer than stated it would to put together. Not enough wood glue. Enough pieces to get it done.

I purchased this cabinet to replace one that came damaged. The first thing I noticed was how much better this was packaged. The boxes came inside additional protective boxes. The instructions were pretty good if you carefully follow the pictures. There are no written instructions. I have much experience assembling "knock down" furniture, so I had little problem. The one thing I noticed about this cabinet compared to similar cabinets is that the wood top and lower bottom boards were finger jointed instead of long laminated boards. The joints were very tight and this marginally detracted from the overall appearance. To make assembly easier I separated the hardware into an old silverware tray with the part number tags visible. I was only missing two small screws for the drawer pulls that were easily replaced. Overall this was a vey nice cabinet and would purchase again if needed. ... show more

Expected separate boxes for these but both arrived at one time. We ordered 2 of them to sit under the “bar” area in our kitchen, instead of the stools, to improve our storage space. We didn’t need to adjust any holes and all the correct parts were supplied, which was unexpected given that I had read all of the reviews before purchasing. These are extremely sturdy, not that compressed wood crap and we have items like our blender, mixer and other appliances inside. I haven’t, but I’d have no problem jumping up and sitting on either one without worrying about it collapsing! :) We didn’t use the inside shelving to allow taller items to fit and that works great. Clearing off the countertops in our smallish kitchen feels great plus I love the weathered finish of the color we chose. We’ll probably paint or stain the top to match once during the kitchen remodel but that’s easy peasy. We LOVE these! One of this type of sideboards purchased locally would easily cost 3 or 4 times more than what we paid. The one and only “complaint”, which isn’t really one considering all of the positives, is that the drawers are a bit flimsy and don’t slide in/out very smoothly. They aren’t on rollers which makes it feel just….different. I would not hesitate to buy again and would gladly recommend it to friends and family. ... show more
