I chose this style of tip prevention because it is one of 2 styles approved and recommended by Consumer Reports. The design is logical and easy to use. I chose this particular product as it appeared that the steel cable was a bit longer than the others on Amazon, though I can’t recall if I ever found any actual measurement. My concern was that I would not be able to find a wall stud near enough to the part of my shelf that I needed or wanted to loop around, and I did not want to have to move my baker’s rack to an off-center position on the wall. The length of these cables is fine though of necessity they are short. If too long, the shelf or cabinet could gain quite a bit of momentum in a fall before the cable was tight enough to stop the fall. Might be too much momentum and cause the cable to fail. Fortunately, I also figured out that my concerns were really a non-issue. On my baker’s rack there are both vertical and horizontal pieces to which I could attach the cable. The horizontal pieces cross over multiple studs so the only issue was making sure the cable was long enough to go around the bracket and the bar on the bakers rack. These cables were plenty long enough. In fact, I doubled up with some to get twice the strength. Also, at least with my application I am sure that a decent drywall anchor to support the bracket and cable anchor would have been sufficient to prevent any tips. The threaded female piece on these cables is a little finicky in that the make and female parts have to be directly in line with one another. There is little or no play to compensate for a slight misalignment, which just means you’ll be twisting the female piece but going nowhere. That is not a complaint as I think the precise workmanship speaks well of the quality of the anchor. ... show more

Install was relatively easy, we found a mallet helped with the drywall anchors. Be sure to have drill bits and a hand drill. At the end we found one wire would not screw together so we only had 9/10 working anchors.

I used this to secure some shelving in the garage because the Greenworks shelves did not include anti tip hardware. It worked perfectly, and even had metal straps to hold the rack to the wall. definitely a good value and a very good product.

The media could not be loaded. As a mom of a one and a half year-old, I feel so much more at peace knowing my cabinets and furniture cannot fall on top of my child. They were super easy to install and feel way sturdier than zip ties that come with a lot of furniture to “baby proof.” These are great because you can easily unscrew them to remove it and reuse them if you want to move your furniture. It’s literally impossible for my cabinets to fall over now! I highly recommend screwing them directly into the studs for extra safety rather than using the anchors. ... show more

I have a one year old white just started walking and is already climbing. These anchors were perfect to ensure that none of our furniture falls over on her. We screwed then into the walls and into the furniture. It took a while because when we moved the furniture, we realized we needed to sweep first lol, but screwing then in is pretty quick (5-10 minutes per anchor bc you need to measure and decide where you want it. They recommended 2 anchors for each piece of furniture which we did except on our small mantle where we couldn’t find a spot for 2 anchors but thought one felt secure enough. Definitely a good value for the money. You can’t put a price on safety. But these were very inexpensive! ... show more
