🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The chairs reviewed are lightweight and easy to assemble, making them a convenient choice for small spaces or first apartments. The chairs are praised for their easy-to-clean feature and comfortability. However, some concerns have been raised on the assembly process which can be tricky, and the potential lack of sturdiness, especially for individuals over 220 lbs.

Pros

  • 🔹 Light and easy to assemble
  • 🔸 Fit perfectly in small spaces
  • 🔹 Easy to clean as there are no cushions
  • 🔸 Surprisingly comfortable

Cons

  • 🔹 Not suitable for overweight individuals
  • 🔸 Some chairs might wobble
  • 🔹 Some assembly issues and confusions
  • 🔸 The back of the chair is quite flexible and it may flex if leaned back

Should I Buy It?

If you're looking for lightweight, easy-to-assemble and clean chairs that fit perfectly in smaller spaces, these are a great option. However, if you prioritize higher weight support and stiffness in the chair back or aren't up for potentially tricky assembly, you may want to consider other options.

  • Strong, easy to assemble, but difficult to clean.
Color: White
They are super nice. They are definitely the most affordable dining chairs I've seen. My one complaint is that due to the color it is very easy to get food or dirt stains. When I was assembling it, it immediately picked up dirt from the floor which I was not able to clean up with just rubbing alcohol. But I did remove it with a harsher cleaner and some good scrubbing. The wood comes unstained and unsealed, so you can stain it if you like. It came a week early, which was a pleasant surprise. Very easy to assemble. Although it did not come with instructions it was very straightforward. All you do is screw the legs/base onto the seat with washers and bolts. It comes with a small wrench (and the nuts and bolts) to help you attach the legs to the seat, however I had to also use my crescent wrench since some of the bolts on the legs were kind of loose. I strongly recommend. As for comfort, they are ok. They definitely don't hurt and they aren't awkward to sit in, but the the seats are uncushioned plastic so what can you expect. They remind me of the chairs that they have in schools. They kinda feel like that. I plan on making seat cushions for mine. In conclusion they are very lovely and adorable I strongly recommend. ... show more

  • Nice chairs great price
Color: White
These completed a new dining set I put together for our kitchen.. we had 4 chairs falling apart due to them being too big/cumbersome for children. These are exactly what I hoped they'd be... pretty sturdy, light, easy to move, smaller overall, but not too small... and went well with a modern mid-century antique table I found. The only things to note about these chairs is the finish on the legs is a little unrefined. They're not glossy like the photos. I had to sand an refinish them anyway to match the table better so, it actually saved me some sanding. They looked almost unfinished out of the box... maybe a whisper or suggestion of lacquer had been applied... like a tasteful perfume. But I sanded that off and brought them down a tone or 2 by staining with 'Driftwood' from Minwax. Now they blend with the table better. The white plastic is easy to smudge/shows (dirty) fingerprints but is easy to clean. I'd prefer a more polished surface but it is very acceptable as is. I honestly have no real issues with this set, for $100 shipped you can't beat this set. They seem sturdy so far and my 220 lb butt has tested each one. Assembly was as expected.. most went together with no issue, a few bolts/screws needed tightening after the journey from half a world away... but no problems at all. ... show more

  • Easy to clean but not the sturdiest
Color: White
I bought two sets (8 total) of these chairs 4.5 years ago when we moved into our new house. I wasn't expecting miracles since they were so cheap, but with all the other new furniture and moving expenses we were OK with it, especially since we have 3 kids and knew we didn't want anything upholstered. I do like the look of them - most of our house is done in IKEA/midcentury styles, so the clean lines were a plus. They are SUPER easy to clean - even my kids haven't managed to stain a single one despite all their spills and arts & crafts! The cons (and reasons I won't be buying more of these) is that they just aren't built to last. Almost immediately we noticed that the bolts and washers holding the legs on would loosen over time and eventually fall out (these are the large rubbery washers you can see in the product image labeled "improved version"). It doesn't cause the chair to collapse because of the way all 4 legs are attached to each other with the black bars, but it was annoying to find the bolts/washers on the floor every few days and then have to flip each chair to find where the missing hardware came from. No matter how well we screwed it back in, it would fall back out eventually. Over time we have lost several of the bolts and several chairs now just function with 3 bolts, which makes them feel less sturdy and probably creates additional stress on the remains bolts (that may be contributing to the cracks, more on that next). Several of the chairs have also broken, which is why I'm back on Amazon looking for replacements. The stated weight limit is 300 lbs, which was one of the reasons I bought them - my husband is 6'3" and about 250 lbs, and we frequently have guests of all sizes. However, over time, they all start to crack right where the legs connect to the seat; the crack is visible and makes visitors wary of the chairs. We've had them break under guests more than once, which is embarrassing for all involved. At the moment we only have 4 chairs, so half have broken in the last 4.5 years. the most recent one actually snapped where the black bar was attached to the wood of one leg, which was quite dramatic. For what it's worth, despite having 3 kids we really aren't that rough on most of our furniture, so breakage isn't due to kids being wild - just from sitting down to 2ish family meals per day, homework/arts/crafts, and the occasional holiday dinner. TLDR: Not bad for the price and easy to clean, but you're only going to get a couple of years out of them! ... show more

  • Easy to assemble? I think not
Color: White
They're not easy to assemble. Instructions aren't the greatest and, even though they're partially assembled, completing takes some time. Removing the packing is a pain in the *** because of the way they're packed. Which, by the way, is very well. That's the only complaint. Once you start assembly, and figure out what goes where, it becomes a bit easier. Assembled, they're quite sturdy, look good, fairly comfortable for an unpadded chair (I'll be getting cushions) and well worth the price. Strongly recommended. Think I'll buy another set just to spread around the house. ... show more
