I like how the bed looks, it does need a longer twin mattress and thicker to come above the bottom of the headboard. We transitioned my son from a toddler bed to this and the height from the floor is perfect for that. I purchased this 8 months ago and it has broken twice. Once my three year old jumped on me sitting on the bed and the other him and two other little ones were playing and it broke. The wood supporting the slats just detaches and falls straight to the ground. We did use it as a guest bed for an adult for a few nights and my husband has fallen asleep in it before and it supports adults fine, just no jumping! I just added 4 2x4s, one under each existing piece of wood. Hoping we won’t have anymore issues. It is cheap enough, a few extra supports aren’t an issue. If it breaks again, I will be done with it. I bought this bed frame in a queen size and am impressed at how easy it was to set up. Once I laid all the pieces out and took out all of the screws/pieces from inside the headboard fabric, the entire thing took me 40 minutes to build by myself. Make sure you look at the directions and determine the orientation of all the head board sections and how they fit together. You really only need another person to help during the last steps, just to hold one piece while you screw in another. So far the bed seems sturdy and it looks great! ... show more

I gave this four stars because I think it looks good and probably would have assembled well if I had been a little more careful. When screwing down the 4 cross pieces I got the wood screws too close to the edge of the ledge on the side pieces and it ended up splitting in some places. When I tried to move it into the bedroom the one side fell off the frame because of the split wood. Anyway, I cut some 3/4"x2" pieces and attached them onto the original edge to create a new place to screw the cross pieces into for that one side. Then I re-attached the cross pieces to the one side that came off and put a screw into every cross piece on both sides. Made sure everything was aligned and straight before I did that, so it is now much sturdier than it would have been originally. Their instructions say not to use your own wood or screws that they didn't provide - I am not having an issue with it. Anyway, the reviews complaining about it not being sturdy probably have some amount of merit - I am not concerned too much about it because it is going into a guest bedroom that will not be used that much. So, for the looks, and the price, I will give it 4 stars for the use that I have for it - not sure if it was going to be used every day. Also, the headboard can be mounted in one of two different positions on the legs, so you need to decide how far up on the legs you want the headboard - depending on how thick or thin your mattress is or if you are going to be using box springs. ... show more

*****UPDATE#2***** Had to clean up under our bed some clothes and stuff had gotten under since we have hard wood floors and was looking and one of the support legs in the middle has now broken off so if anything else breaks on this bed it's getting burned on a fire because it simply is trash! DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT buy this bed frame! And for anyone wondering my husband and I are roughly 200 lbs each so it shouldn't be a weight issue it's just very cheap materials! *****UPDATE#1***** Have had this for a while now and the center leg support broke on us and had to support it with a piece of wood until we can figure out a more permanent and better-looking solution but very disappointed in the quality of the frame and it may be considered “cheap” to some but to me it was a little higher than I wanted to spend we were on a tight budget but now having bought it and this happening I had to come back and tell you do not buy this bed go look at something else trust me! I have added a photo showing what I mean. It is pretty but not worth it and also changed my star rating on this. *****First review***** This is a very pretty frame and seems sturdy the only thing I was not pleased about was this came with absolutely zero instructions my husband had to completely wing it putting it together I came back to the listing on here and he went off the video provided on Amazon otherwise we were completely blind building this and all the hardware was thrown in one bag so there was no knowing what screw was what like a normal kit it'll have a bag with letters like “these screws are A1 these are A2” like a normal hardware kit no they are all thrown in one bag and just figure it out on your own and good luck it was worth it cause it's pretty but I can't fully give 5 stars. ... show more

The bed is actually made of nice sturdy solid wood, and not pressed wood board like some cheaper bed frames, which is what I was expecting for this price. But I was shockingly surprised when we started unpacking it and saw the quality. It's the perfect height for my 14" memory foam mattress, I am a little person so it makes it perfect height for both me and my husband who is of average height. I would highly recommend this product if you are looking for a well made and affordable bed frame. The only complaint we had is that the directions are just photos, but other than that it is pretty easy to assemble. You will need a screw gun to secure the end sections of the slats to the frame, but they are pre-drilled if you don't have an electric one and it should be simple to screw in with a hand screw driver. ... show more

It's a nice bed but first bed was stoped in transport because it was broken. 2nd bed we unpacked it seemed OK. Took it up the stairs and started to unpack the back pocket 3 out of 4 stats are broken and a corner piece is unstable. My husband is Mcgiver and is attempting to fix. They need to change the way this is backed for shipping its not well packed and that how the headboard got broken. We will see how long this last if he gets it repaired like he wants to we should be fine. I just don't think we should pay full price for a piece we had to repair. ... show more
