I can't part with my box springs so the 14 inch frame height plus box spring plus mattress equals a darn near rubbing jump to get into bed at night, but I can hide my luggage and some totes underneath and my dogs get a cool "cave" to hang out in. After paramedics stood on the bed with our old frame, we never added in the weight of the Mattress we had (bought 8 years ago on Amazon a Hybrid, which is Springs & Memory Foam) we don't need a boxspring btw..& never expected 2 very heavy men to be on the frame w my wife, who is paralyzed and 280lbs. We put this to test. As they transported her for an appointment they again get on the frame, but this one you didn't hear a thing..no creaking..We've inspected it 3xs now and it's strong as ever. We are going to a Split King Adjustable Frame as we are moving into a bigger home, But this frame will go in the spare bedroom bc it's literally one of the best. It's easy to put together as well. Only suggestion I'd say is if you have hardwood or vinyl floors get some tape that you adhere to furniture bc it can slide, but that's expected. Even carpets may need it as well. It was delivered earlier than expected & instead of the driver just leaving it outside, they did knock, which I really appreciated. If you're thinking about it l, buy it. I highly recommend it for plus size people as well. I wish I could remember the Hybrid bed we purchased, but we along with many neighbors & friends have purchased Memory Foam or Hybrid Mattresses based on ratings & they've lasted years. An elderly neighbor was going to pay $1200 for a Queen Size Bed at a Mattress Store and that didn't include a Frame. We got him his Mattress & Frame for about $350 total & he cancelled his order w the store luckily it hadn't been delivered. So again, you don't need a boxspring w these types of frames. Don't go to a Mattress store, when this is delivered right to your door, & requires an Allen wrench & a wrench. Really Easy! ... show more

I needed a bed platform to use with my existing bedroom set that was past down from my grandma. After going to several stores only to find nothing I liked I turned to Amazon for my shopping needs. There are no good options for bed platforms in stores. This platform is great simple easy to build and is very sturdy. I love the look and all the space under the bed for storage. It goes perfectly with my bedroom set and the price is great. This is not like those cheap metal frames with wheels we all hate and who hasn’t hurt themselves on those! The photos for this product suggest nice bold metal piping. That's not reality. Strong enough so far but not what the photos suggest. I found it easy to assemble by myself. It took me about an hour. My skill level is advanced diy but this fella is pretty simple as long as you follow the instructions. I put the bed up on its side to properly place the crossbars. The crossbars have notches that secure bed width over its length. -1 star for the style issue. Will update as necessary ... show more

This bed is legit for those that are more on the overweight side. It doesn’t shake or squeak like most metal frames. My 18 year old daughter and 17 year old son put it together very quickly so I would say assembly is very easy. I bought this one in full size for my daughter. We later bought one in a king size for ourselves when our previous wooden bed broke. We are overweight 200+ and 300+ pounds. There is no shake, it’s very sturdy. We put it together in less than 20 min. I will suggest getting a corner shield of some sort because hitting the corners hurt so bad when you run into them at night!!! I have about 1 week using it. No complaints so far. Arrived very quickly and assemble it was flawless. I suggest use your own tools instead of the one included, just because will make it easier the job. Feels sturdy, you can “jump” over the bed with out making noise.
