These are very easy to assemble. However it is impossible to get them tightly screwed in and whenever you sit in them they wobble, then making them uncomfortable. I love the design and the look but definitely not my favorite chair to sit in

They're perfect for when our teen grandchildren come to visit. They are sturdy and leave a lot of room for getting on and off when the island is full. The backs do have flexibility because they're metal. All in all I'm very satisfied with this product.
