The bed is actually pretty decent and wasn't really difficult to assemble. My son pretty much assembled it himself with a little help from me. It's been comfortable with no squeaking or anything in the few weeks I've had it. I would have given it a better rating if not for the issues as seen in the photos..... #1 - two of the pieces that help hold the headboard/footboard together had pieces broken off #2 - Significant scratches on the headboard. I was able to reattach the broken pieces with super glue and the scratches are partially hidden because of their placement. However I think it's unacceptable to purchase a new item and have it arrive with any flaws/broken parts at all. It was just easier to keep it and accept the flaws than to pack it back up, return it and wait for a new one in the hopes it wouldn't have any issues as well. ... show more

This frame was economical!! It assembled easily with 2 ppl, as the directions were explicit! My husband and I were both pleased with the results. It looked nice too!! We had to remove our boxsprings since the frame made our mattress super high and a challenge for my 5’5” legs to climb up. After a few weeks of use, the bed frame is a little squeaky at times. The headboard would be better for us if it had a solid space, as our pillows slip through the bars of the headboard. ... show more

Super simple to put together. I like that it's heavy duty because kids can break a frame when rough housing around. The best thing is that there's a lot more space in the room as the king mattress fits snug in the frame and nothing sticks out.

It was pretty easy to put together. All the parts were included. There were a few minor scratches here and there -I'm sure due to the way its packed in the box and accounting for the shipping. Although at fist glance I thought wow this is packed pretty well. There's plenty of room under the bed for storage. I believe it is too tall for anyone much under 5' tall. My 86 year old mother is 4' 10 and can't get in it. I had to buy a bedside step for her. I purchased a hybrid mattress to go with it. The slats are plenty and well spaced. There is decent support leg for the center of the bed as well. I'm happy with it. ... show more

the foot board is shorter than in the picture & its not as thick/bulky in frame as pictured. I have a true vintage iron bed which I've had for the past 50 years. this new bed I bought for my guest room & I'm a bit disappointed but that's on me - I could have taken the time in thrift shops to find an original. this bed is a good price & it will fill my needs (family visits). it has plenty of room under it (as the vintage beds) & loving that. I'm older (76) & serious accident took my knee cap so its difficult to get down & back up - but I did it by myself & thats a plus! ... show more
