I’m a senior woman with a lift recliner that started clicking when raising the foot rest. I checked out the problem which was the motor. Went on Amazon which had the same model motor. No instructions included. However as I started removing the motor it was very simple. Ran into one slight problem but checked YouTube and fixed the problem. The chair reclines perfectly. No noise.     • This salvaged a ten year old chair
I thought I was going to have to throw out my lift chair because the old motor broke. The plastic moving block had snapped apart. The old motor was easy to remove and the new one fit perfectly. About twenty minutes was all it took to restore the chair to working order. I probably could have gotten away with buying just the moving block and saved some money but this item was easier than dealing with disassembling the old unit and replacing the greasy and dirty old lift motor. Besides, that unit was ten years old and probably on its way out. ... show more

My father purchased a lift chair with this exact Limoss motor (identical part numbers and model numbers, identical specifications on the motor stickers) approximately five years ago. Recently, the chair stopped working, which we misdiagnosed as being due to a bad motor (it was actually a faulty controller, so at the end of this story we returned the original motor to the chair, replaced the controller, and it is working as expected again). We purchased this product as a replacement, installed it, and came to find that, although the motor had no problem reclining the chair, it absolutely could not lift his 350 lb body. Thinking this was a defective motor, we ordered a replacement, but the replacement had the EXACT same issue. All three motors claim to be rated to lift 3000N, which translates to being able to lift in excess of 500 lbs, yet only the original motor that came with the chair from years ago lives up to that claim. In summary, I'm disappointed with the product and hope this acts as a cautionary tale for anyone on the heavier side considering purchasing one of these motors. While it CAN lift the chair and a much slimmer person, it simply CANNOT lift the weight that it claims it can (to me, that's false advertising). ... show more
