Description

Healthy, delicious meals have never been easier! The slow cooker, pressure cooker, and Instant Pot® meet freezer cooking in this beautifully photographed and rigorously tested cookbook. It’s dinnertime and, yet again, you’re behind. The kids are cranky, the fridge is empty, the kitchen is a mess. Sound familiar? That was every night at the houses of popular bloggers and cookbook authors Polly Conner and Rachel Tiemeyer until they discovered freezer cooking. And once they realized that freezer meals could be made even easier with the hands-free magic of the pressure cooker, Instant Pot, or a slow cooker, dinnertime drama became a thing of the past. From breakfast options like Peanut Butter Cup Steel-Cut Oats and Denver Omelet Casserole to dinnertime faves such as Fiesta Lime Chicken Bowls and French Dip Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, every recipe is made with recognizable, whole-food ingredients. You’ll learn how to prep and freeze bright, flavorful food so that you’re never more than a few minutes away from a hot, homemade meal. Read more

  • Easy Meals with Simple, Recognizable Ingredients
My favorite cookbook with simple, versatile recipes and recognizable ingredients. I mostly use the crockpot versions and they turn out amazing each time.

  • So helpful for busy people!
I have both the physical copy and the digital kindle version. The recipes are soo good, every one of them we have tried has gone into our monthly rotation. Not only that, but it teaches you so much about food safety and how to cook in both instant cooker and slow cooker from frozen, when that's not safe and you need to thaw in the refrigerator first, what kind of kitchen tools to get/what to look for, etc. I love the guide in the back that lists out all the gluten free, dairy free, kid favorites, slow cooks all day (helpful if you cant come home in the middle of the day at work to check on stuff), and other categories of recipes. This book was researched and tested so well and it shows in the recipes. I like having the kindle version so I can go to the grocery store and go back to a recipe on my phone and easily add another meal for the week into my cart or look up the ingredient list and make sure I have everything. I dont have many cookbooks, but this is one I cherish! So neccessary for busy parents wanting to serve their family good food that's fast and homemade. ... show more

  • Forever friend of this cookbook... and my new Instant Pot!
I LOVE this newest cookbook authored by Polly and Rachel! I have always been a fan of their Thriving Home blog and have been a faithful fan of their first cookbook, From Freezer to Table. I have already made five recipes from this newest cookbook and all have been successful! The Blueberry French Toast Casserole with Vanilla Glaze has been served in our home twice. It is easy and delicious. My granddaughter kept going back for more! Another recipe prepared is the Garlic Herb Whole Chicken with Gravy and it was wonderful! I used the leftover chicken parts to make the Low-Sodium Chicken Broth. I can’t wait to use it to make some soup! Adelyn’s Sticky BBQ Drumsticks were equally easy and of course, delicious! That BBQ Sauce will be a go-to recipe for other dishes! Lastly, The Garlicky Chicken Thighs are ready for dinner this evening! I had to take a little taste, and YUM! I have prepared all these recipes using my new Instant Pot, in which I have a LOVE for! I was on the fence about purchasing one for so long! This book has helped me learn more about using my newest kitchen tool, with its informative “instant pot basics.” The directions on how to prepare the recipes in this cookbook are easy to follow. Thank you Polly and Rachel! I’ve been preparing more homemade meals at home and eating out less, thanks to your cookbooks! My husband thanks you too!! Both cookbooks have a special place on my cookbook shelf! ... show more

  • Convenience with a Caveat
This cookbook is a lifesaver for busy weeknights! Prepping meals in advance and throwing them in the slow cooker or Instant Pot is pure magic. I especially loved the Chicken Dumpling Stew - the broth was packed with flavor, the chicken tender, and the dumplings light and fluffy. Plus, the convenience of freezing portions for later was fantastic. However, a few things held me back from a perfect score. Some recipes, like the Balsamic Pot Roast, lacked depth of flavor and needed additional spices/seasoning. Additionally, the "cook from frozen" instructions didn't always work seamlessly, requiring adjustments to cooking times. Overall, "From Freezer to Cooker" is a solid choice for anyone looking for convenient, healthy meals. Just be prepared to adjust some recipes and cooking times to your liking. With a little tweaking, you can have delicious, home-cooked meals on the table in no time! ... show more

  • Great cookbook for families
I have their first cookbook and LOVE it, so I was super excited when I found out that this one was coming out! It’s definitely going to be one of my favorites for years to come! I love that each and every recipe has instructions for preparation, freezing, cooking immediately in a slow cooker, cooking immediately in an Instant Pot, and cooking from frozen for each cooker. I don’t know of any other cookbooks that are this comprehensive when it comes to freezer cooking. I also greatly appreciate that they’ve created whole-foods based recipes that are healthy (no canned cream soups or or nasty seasoning packets), but what’s even better is that so many of these recipes are versatile; the meat recipes especially can be used as written or can be used a number of different ways (sandwiches, wraps, tacos, salad topping, pizza topping, etc). These recipes really are family/kid friendly without being bland or boring, and the photos are wonderful. I look forward to trying every single recipe (I just used their recipe for taco seasoning in my taco meat last night!!), and I look forward to their next cookbook! ... show more
