They practice for hours outside and while they are very conscious of proper hydration and taking breaks, I wanted to give her a little something extra to help beat the heat. This helped her so much.     • I sweat a lot, all day actually. Hear me out...

As the title says, I sweat all day, wich means I'm in the heat all day, so if I'm telling you a product works to keep you cool, then it does. All the frog togg products are really good at what they do, wether keeping you cool, or rain gear keeping you dry. I have this cooling towel in green and blue. I keep a cooler with ice and water on my truck, and as I go throughout the day I dip the towels in it and sling it around my neck or over my head (under my hat) and it helps a lot to keep me from overheating. I always have one around my neck, even if it's not cold, because they are wonderful at soaking up sweat too! You can twist them and pop them to keep them cool, but that only works for a bit, then it's a sweat rag until I make it back to my truck. They are essential to what I do just as any tool would be. I see people complain about the texture (wich I happen to really like) but what difference does the texture make when it's keeping you cool? This is a great product at a fair price. I love this product! I have a hard time regulating my body temperature due to some medications I have to take and the summer is especially brutal for me. My da had me try this and I was skeptical but I am so happy I took his advise. It works by just getting the fabric wet and I shake it for a couple seconds and its significantly cooler than my skin. I use it to help cool me down by wiping my arms and legs, I keep it around my neck to help prevent overheating, and it is now an essential for any outdoor event in the summer. My sisters borrow it for festivals and are talking about ordering their own. I think it would work great for after a workout too! I only wash it and let it air dry but keeping it clean hasn't been a problem ... show more

These towels are cold to the touch right out of the package. They are not simply a wet towel, they are a spongy material like a car drying chamois but as soon they’re wet they are cold and feel great. Kept me cool and more comfortable on a long hike in Arizona's high heat. They dry out after a while but keeping them wet and shaking them out works awesome and really helped me stay cool. These towels really work and are life savers! I can't believe how well they work at keeping you cooler with just water. We have outdoor swim meets in Arizona in June and July. They are miserable, but these towels make it a little more bearable. We just put one around the back of our necaks and it makes everything better. Sometimes I'll even take an extra one and drape it on my arms to cool off as well. I really should buy these and sell them at the swim meet. I'd make a ton of money because everyone needs them. They are super easy to use just keep them damp. They do work better for our dry heat, not sure how well it would work if it were really humid. Had some friends come for denmark and they took some home because they liked them so much.i will never go through an arizona summer without these towels. I understand that the 1-5 star rating is to help both buyers and sellers. Here is a breakdown of how my 1-5 ratings are determined: 5-star rating that means that I truly love that product and it has features that put it above and beyond what would normally be expected, and it is something that “wowed” me and I am truly glad I purchased it and would purchase it again. Also I recommend it to everyone and anyone! 4-star ratings are items that do exactly as would be expected of the item, is of very good quality, but does not stand out significantly in any way unless I specifically state why it stands out. But all in all, this item is a solid item and is still highly recommended. It just didn’t have the wow factor that my 5 star ratings would have had. 3-star ratings are given on items because my feeling about the product is neutral. I do not consider it a negative, but it just did not wow me, or there is nothing of great significance. 1 or 2-star ratings are rarely given unless the item is completely worthless and not worth the money, and I am only giving that rating as a warning to others. This didn't work for us, but under the right circumstances, it could. I tested this out in my 77-ish degree home, and in the AC, it most definitely stayed cold. Okay, cool. Well, we used it outside in 57-65% humidity and (Missouri) in the shade in 86-90 degree heat, and it really didn't stay cool at all, even with frequent turning. The fabric, if you want to call it that, is pretty uncomfortable to have on your body, as well. I recall a review that said it's like wearing a yoga mat, and honestly, that's not a terrible comparison. It's like a thinner/more malleable wet yoga mat. My husband has become really intolerant of heat, andI knew it wasn't supposed to help with "high" humidity--but I wasn't sure what that line was. I provided the humidity levels and temperature here to help you decide if it may work for you. If you're looking to use it somewhere in the caribbean, for instance, it won't work at all.
