This is my 2nd purchase. I was not happy with the length to the power cord but I have to admit, it has a nice flow. I am using them on two small totes. I cut into the tote edge to fit the hanger. The suction cups are flat already and useless. I have small internal filters from Petco and personally, they are wimpy by comparison. I see quite a few bad reviews but for me this was a great purchase. It was low cost, arrived next day, works great, powerful, it can fit the whisper cartridges... Okay neat little pump good price but this is the second one the first one I received didn't even work matter of fact I have to still send it back they sent me a replacement it worked for about 2 weeks and now I just died these things are junk I like to have a refund and I'll send you both pumps back I just want my money back or something better. ... show more

Not a bad filter the activated carbon is very helpful and it easily slides in to the slot of the filter. Last pretty long too my last one went on for months with no problems but I changed it after I noticed the water stopped cleaning.

The noise is not as loud as my previous filter and so far it seems like it won't break on me. My repto filter lasted a month and then quit on me so hopefully, this will last longer. I wish this filter came with more backup charcoal filters, but it's amazing for the price.
