When my Viking wall oven bit the dust I wanted something similar, with knobs and professional quality. I specifically did not want an oven with a touch screen. This oven fits my wish list and more. I like that all the interior heating elements are hidden. The sliding shelf is convenient. The interior is well lit. The knob control is easy to use. The fit and finish is spectacular. So, it was much more expensive than what I wanted to spend, but this oven has the features I like. It's going to last a long time so the extra money over the life of the oven is negligent. I'd give it 5 stars for quality and features, but only 4 for value. I read some reviews that complain about the low volume on the timer sound. Yes, the timer sound is brief and not loud enough to hear in the next room. If that matters to you then you might not want this oven. I think it's designed to be discrete on purpose and I appreciate that. I have a smart fridge and use timers on the fridge touch screen so don't care about the oven timer anyway. BTW: this oven is "basic" meaning it does not have a bake timer or delayed baking or anything that uses timers for operation. The timer is just a timer, not an operational timer. I don't use timed operations so these didn't matter to me. I was more concerned not to have a touch screen which would be required for timed operations. I also read some reviews complaining about the fan running. The fan is quiet but does run while the oven is on and continues to run after the oven is turned off. This fan cools the oven and keeps the heat from building up inside your cabinet. To me this is an important safety feature. The fan is quiet and not really noticeable to me. The heat from the oven has to go somewhere so I like that it dissipates into the room and doesn't build up in the cabinet. This oven is beautiful, great quality, well lit and easy to use. Initially we had an error code appear each time we turned the oven on. After restarting the error code would go away. After a week os so of using the oven, the error code didn't reappear and the oven functions normally. Oven cooks evenly and the temperature probe works well.

We like the oven because it cooks very evenly and is wide enough to place two cookie sheets per shelf. It heats fast and the temperatures are very accurate for precise baking. The included temperature probe is spot on and allows for perfect poultry and beef temperatures, without the guesswork. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. ... show more
