This is a terrific friendship bracelet set. It comes with a generous allowance of supplies, all of which fit into the included case / weaving board. The included cord is bright, shiny and well made. The included instructions are clear, heavily illustrated and offer lots of different designs to make. The set includes heart shaped bracelet clasps, which help give a polished look to the finished bracelet and allows them to be removable instead of having to be tied on like most friendship bracelets. The only complaint I have about this set is that the instruction booklet is slightly too large to fit inside the locking case / weaving board. Every other item fits inside, but not the instructions. It wouldn't have been that hard to reduce its size enough that it would fit inside, but since it doesn't and it's not a standard size booklet it will be easy to lose. I'm not sure these bracelets are intuitive enough to make without the instructions. ... show more

This is a really cute kit and well constructed. The box is plastic but it's really thick and closes securely. The strings to make the bracelets are very thick, a little shiny, and of a durable material - maybe nylon?? The storage box doubles as a board that holds the strings while you work which is really handy. There is an instructional booklet that clearly outlines step-by-step how to create each kind of bracelet. There are eight designs but you could go off book and create your own if you like. The designs are all unique and really pretty. Overall this is very different from the friendship bracelets I made as a kid but it's also really nice. The main difference is the strings. It won't create the traditional, dainty knotted hippie type friendship bracelets but it makes very pretty ones, albeit slightly bulkier and with brighter colors. ... show more

This is a decent little kit, but it has some issues. Also keep in mind if you are thinking traditional friendship bracelets, that is not these. Pros: * Hard case to keep supplies * Comes with supplies to make several bracelets Cons: * You can only make one specific length of bracelet * Directions are not very clear and there is no website with video instructions and I also wasn't able to find anything on Youtube. * Once supplies are gone I am not sure on replacements. I haven't found any so far. So its an ok kit with some flaws. The case is nice for keeping supplies together, but it is frustrating that you are limited to a single size of bracelet. ... show more

I am not kidding when I say that I want this bracelet maker for myself and may keep an eye out for another. I was hoping to give it as a birthday present, but my daughter saw it and of course wants it. I let her keep it because I had already bought gifts for the bierhday party. So I gave it to my daughter and she has been sitting at the kitchen table for so long. I keep peeking in to see if she is taking a break (aka I want to try it) but worse case scenario I buy one for me. Great kit! Comes in a nice plastic case, lots of colorful string, and instructions! Easy to use. Great for kids interested in working with their hands! Is engaging but also allows one to watch tv or listen to music as they work. Comes with instructions and patterns to follow! This compact cool bracelet making kit has it all. The description says for kids age 8-12 years old. I say no, it is good for any age (not babies or toddlers of course). If you have ever wanted to learn how to make string knot bracelets this kit will fit the bill. Great instruction project manual comes with it too. Love the case, solid and holds all the small pieces and doubles as your work station. The "string" thread is really pretty and is a nice size thickness to start learning with.
