  • Perfect for beginners
Okay I'm a real beginner and needed a set of router bits for cnc use. Truly not knowing where to begin this set has given me options for testing that I was initially unaware of. An example is difference between up and down bits and tear out associated. It doesn't prevent idiot moves though it does offer a decent quality set to test and understand what the different bits do. Do you need them? Technically no, but I'm unaware of a group of quality bits that I'd trust for testing with. I've moved on to some specialty bits, but still use these. ... show more

  • Well built
These are made by the same company that makes router bits you can buy at Home Depot. They seem well built and balanced. Have used all of them so far with no issues. The case they come in though is super tight. Do not take them out by grabbing them you will most likely cut yourself. Use some pliers to grab the shaft. I will most likely drill out each hole a slight amount to make it easier to get out. ... show more

  • alright
The bits themselves are alright. But they are ridiculously hard to remove from the case. If you try pooling from above you will cut your fingers. The dimensions are wrong. First, there's a typo in 3/6", second, the sheet provided with the bits make it look like there are 2 3/16" bits, but one of them is actually 1/4". Lastly, feeds and speeds information would have been nice. ... show more

  • Worth the money. Most complaints are out of ignorance.
Most complaints I read are petty and uninformed. Use a pair of pliers with a leather glove in the jaws to remove twisting slightly as you pull. These are super sharp, run on my CNC perfectly and leave a nice finish. Worth the money.

  • Useful Set
I have a Shapeoko 3 XXL and these bits are very useful. I am not usually a fan of sets because you may never use all of them. In this case I have used all the bits and like the Frued quality.

  • Greats bits
You may be like me and just getting into CNCs. If so you probably think this set is expensive. I'm here to tell you it's not. It's a mid range price with upper class output. This set comes with everything you need yo get going. So far they have worked wonderfly

  • Excellent assortment for beginning CNC
Just started using my CNC and bought this assortment of bits as I learn various aspects - sign making, 3d carving, etc. Carved several things already and the bits are performing well.

  • Dangerous packaging
These bits are ok starter bits for cnc routing, but the packaging is dangerous. It requires multiple tools to get them out of the ridiculous rubber sockets they’re shipped in, and I slipped, resulting in a trip to the ER and four stitches on my index finger. I’m quite careful and this is the only time I’ve significantly hurt myself in 35 years of woodworking. Freud needs to rethink how they’re shipping their products. I can attest that the bits are sharp, but I have switched to purchasing Whiteside bits individually—better quality, no hassle with the packaging, and only slightly more expensive. ... show more
