Procured this item for a hydroponics setup. Was pleasantly surprised by the strong flow given the wattage. Perfect for my use case. Pump was generally quiet and not noticeable when under water. Have used this for a few days and not had any problems. Time will tell for its long term reliability. A little bit larger than another pump I reviewed, this was also pretty impressive. Itt worked like it should and it was super quiet. I plan on using this for a hydroponic system. I ordered this pump to provide water to my growing auto-watering and hydroponics system, mostly to switch from city water through the hose (a little risky to me) to a rain barrel that can be refilled with the hose during dry periods. This little wonder of a pump provides plenty of flow to the garden with enough left over to supply the drip emitters for a vertical garden space that I'm putting together right now. My favorite feature aside from the price is the ability to adjust the volume as needed at the same low price. This is a great little pump. All you have to do is plug it into a power source. The cord is about 6 feet long, or you can use an extension cord and then drop it in your pool or tub. It's powerful and yet small. We have it in our cold plunge tank, and it keeps the water fresh by keeping it moving. We've got about 60 gallons in the pool and can see the ripples of water all along the water's surface from this little pump. That is fabulous!! This product arrived quickly and in minimal waste packaging. Over all for the price this is a great pump. I placed it in my koi pond and lets just say I am very happy with it. It has different settings so you can chose the strength of the pump. I have it shooting about 3 feet into the air, anything higher and the wind will blow all the water out of the pond.
