This was a great rim for my son for a while; he loved it. It looks and feels sturdy, and it held up for a while but eventually the "shatter-proof" backboard shattered and the rim broke off.

Had high hopes for this goal. I had a smaller one that I took to the office and wanted bmy boys to have an upgrade. Setup was easy (but this isn't rocket science). My disappointment is with the thickness of the backboard. I bought the XL and expected it do be reasonably sturdy. Its a JOKE! The plexiglass is maybe an 1/8 inch. My expectation was that it would be at minimum 1/4 (considering the smaller gaol it replaced was that thick). For the premium price and brand name I thought I would get a much better product.
