  • Obsessed
Size: Official Color: Blue/Black
Our pup is obsessed with this!! We play it twice a day for about 20 minutes at time or we go outside to play. Chasing and retrieving is life for our doodle. I found that when using tennis balls they get wet and don’t go as far so we have about 40 tennis balls and use each ball twice before moving on to the next one. The other thing is that many have stated it quit working after a bit. That happened to us. After two a day play time for two weeks ours started to get loud and slow down, to the point that the balls shooting out would bounce out about 2-3 feet away. Then it just stopped working. So I was going to throw it away and buy a new one. Like I said our dogs obsessed. Once I saw again how much I paid for it, I was not about to do that. So my son in law took it apart and found the two motors had collected all this dark hard melted plastic (tennis ball fuzz) and some un-melted tennis ball fluff that had been collected from all the tennis balls. Which explained the EXTRA long fuzz on the actual tennis balls as well. Had to use pliers and tweezers to get it out, wiped it clean, put it back together and it works like new. We are now using smooth plastic, rubber or foam like tennis balls and let me tell you no issues but they fly even further and we just need to wipe them down with a towel after each use or they don’t go far. ... show more

  • Loud and missing quality features
Size: Official Color: Green/Black
First off, I had this idea that I'd run this all day so my dog would be able to play fetch with himself but didn't realize how loud it would be. It's not feasible to leave on while you're home as it's just too annoying. Other automatic ball launchers have features like a motion sensor (to ensure that it doesn't just klobber your dog right in the face every time) and a ball sensor (so it doesn't run constantly when there's not a ball in it) that this one is missing. However, it does what it is supposed to do and works with rubber balls that my dog can't destroy. ... show more

  • Gravy loved this machine
Size: Official Color: Green/Black
Our dog Gravy will drop dead playing fetch if you let him. We've had a ball launcher for him since he was 6 months old. He's 5 now. The previous launcher was replaced 5 times, the plastic parts kept breaking. At the cost of 169.00 I wasn't buying another after they refused to replace it anymore. Hey, cheap product parts are not my fault. Thought we'd try this launcher and so far, about 4 months, no problems. Only complaints, it doesn't have a time out timer, which really works great on a dog who loves to run. So I have to set a timer to remind me to turn off his machine if I get busy and can't constantly watch him. The other complaint, it doesn't really launch the ball as far as advertised. We've tried a variety of balls And the furthest distance we get (on occasion) is about 25 feet. But, all in all, Gravy is happy, therefore I am too. ... show more

  • My dog loves this!
Size: Official Color: Green/Black
My dog loves this! And I like it because it takes standard size tennis balls (can save $$ on replacements, where others shoot smaller, more expensive size). Alert sound may be turned off. And you can adjust the force of the shooting. Would recommend.

  • Works best with the included orange ball but does great with standard tennis balls too!
Size: Official Color: Blue/Black
Very happy with our purchase! This dog will spend hours playing all by himself with this! Definitely keeps a working dog busy and happy! We do wish it came with more than one orange ball but still an excellent purchase!

  • Not impressed
Size: Official Color: Green/Black
Firstly, my border collie already knew how to drop the ball into the machine ( she generalized it from her other tricks she knows) and then dash off to wait for the ball to be flung. That took her no time to learn. BUT, it is SO slow AND there are times that the ball remains in a level place and does not actually roll down into the hole without a little push on my part. That's not helpful. My main issue with this is that it just does not have much power to throw the ball at any great length. It's rather disappointing. As for the noise level, it gets a little louder as you crank up the power. But the sound did not seem to be a problem for my dog. I think dogs can be desensitized if that is an issue. But if it doesn't throw the ball at any resasonable distance, then it is of no use to me. Lastly, it's a rather large clunky machine that takes up a lot of space. If it worked better, I'd probably keep it. Sadly, I'm going to return it and try another brand. ... show more

  • Holy cow this is a game changer!
Size: Official Color: Blue/Black
The media could not be loaded. My 7 month old Lab puppy LOVES this, my Golden could care less lol. Machine is a bit loud, kind of sounds like a small plane landing. We use this outside and then bring in to shoot down the hall while we are watching tv at night. She did put the ball in a few times on her own but is still learning how to do this. This truly is amazing, she gets so happy when we pull it out, sure beats throwing the ball 300 times a day. I recommend having additional tennis balls ready to go, when they get wet they don't shoot as far. We just use a rotation of about 20 different tennis balls, they are all store bought standard size. It does shoot pretty far but if it's not change the tennis ball to a drier ball and put it at a higher speed on the side. First time using this I shot a ball down the hall and it was like a pinball hitting the ceiling and each door pretty hard, Leia loved it but boy was it loud. The spiky ball they send is super hard so be careful that doesn't hit you pet in the face. Great product! ... show more

  • I want to give it a 5/5 but…
Size: Official Color: Green/Black
I have a huge German shepherd puppy and we live in a place that it rains often. So we loveeee this product as we keep it indoors and that way we run out some of his energy even if the weather doesn’t allow for it. Honestly it saves my shoulder a lot of work- probably one of my favorite purchases from Amazon because all you do it plug it in and drop the ball. But it is very sensitive to wet balls. I mean if my dog slobbers too much on the ball - it definitely doesn’t fly as high. But it’s still worth the money and if ours died, I would definitely buy another. ... show more
