Features

  • You will receive (1) 1.5-cubic foot bag of potting soil per purchase.
  • Ready for immediate use, no additional ingredients are required. This bag is designed to be ready for planting upon purchase. Plant directly into bag.
  • Ingredients like aged forest products and peat moss help increase effectiveness in retaining moisture directly around the roots of plants. Sandy loam, also in Ocean Forest, has excellent drainage properties that help prevent root rot, a common problem when roots sit in stagnant water.
  • Ideal for container gardens, houseplants, trees, shrubs, roses, and even seedlings. The rich ingredients in Ocean Forest provide the proper environment for seedlings to become vigorous plants.
  • Ingredients include 50-60% aged forest products, sphagnum peat moss, perlite, sandy loam, and fertilizer. Derived from fish emulsion, crab meal, shrimp meal, earthworm castings, bat guano, kelp meal, and oyster shell.

  • Great Soil for Healthy Plants
Size: 1 Pack
I’ve been using FoxFarm Ocean Forest Potting Soil for a few months now, and the difference in my plants is incredible. I’m growing tomatoes, peppers, and herbs, and they’ve never looked better—bigger, healthier, and more vibrant. The soil feels rich and fluffy, with a good balance of moisture and drainage, which makes watering less stressful. It’s already packed with nutrients, so I didn’t need to add anything extra right away, which was a bonus. I’ve tried cheaper soils in the past, but nothing compares to this. Yes, it’s a little more expensive, but it’s worth it for the results. Highly recommend it for anyone who wants to see their plants thrive! ... show more

  • Awesome Quality
Size: 1 Pack
This soil may be pricey but hard to beat. I have been using it exclusively for years, and it has been great from start to finish for my growth. You can use it immediately after germination, and it is perfect for growing fruits and vegetables in raised beds and containers. Although it is considered a hot soil, it did not burn my seedlings. There isn't much more to say about this soil that has yet to be said. It is hands down the best soil to work with and yields better results at the seedling stage. I combined two bags and added worm castings to the container for even better results. I used my worm castings from my vermicompost. This soil is as close to perfect as you can get, with no need to add anything to it. ... show more

  • I think FoxFarm is the best potting soil brand out there now
Size: 1 Pack
I'm not sure what happened to other potting soil brand companies, even some of the old good supposedly organic brands are selling what seems to be barely composted sawdust and twigs as potting soil. The other brands are so hot, the plants when transplanted seem to wilt rather than thrive. FoxFarm potting soils smell good. They don't smell like human waste. The potting soil feels good. Loose, airy, but with substance (if that makes sense). Better yet, my plants LOVE it. Especially the veggies. Have a bunch of container veggies going and they are pumping out the goodies thanks to the FoxFarm Ocean Forest Potting soil. The veggies in other supposedly well regarded brands---did very poorly. Next planting season I'll just go with Fox Farm and not waste my time on the others. ... show more

  • Just what I ordered
Size: 1 Pack
The best soil on the market, my plants fruit wonderfully

  • Happy seedlings
Size: 1 Pack
Seems rich and uncontaminated. Seedling are happy. Enjoying higher than expected germination rates for sage and rosemary. Doesn't seem to be overly prone to moisture retention (in a good way). Dark brown/black soil. Not that overly springy stuff with a texture like foam sponge.

  • Good soil as recommended to me. One thing though...
Size: 1 Pack
Love this soil and brand. Great quality soil with a good mix of dirt, root/shavings shred, perlite and more. The only thing is (maybe my fault) is the dirt grew mold and contained fungus gnats when stored inside in a Sterlite tote. Was unfortunate, but I have successfully treated and dried all of the soil in batches. Maybe a little too moist, but most things like this are anyways I suppose. ... show more

  • Great growth
Size: 1 Pack
Bought this dirt because it said it would grow pot seeds well this plant is only three weeks old and it’s doing wonderful. Soil is expensive. However my plants are growing wonderful will buy it again. It drains well so I don’t get root rot

  • If you want stuff to grow, Just buy it!
Size: 1 Pack
Okay this is potting soil but I use it as a starter for EVERYTHING including in ground plants. Just mix it in with the dirt in the ground and kicks off everything well. I used a small bag of it as the base for maple sapling and it took right off. My blueberry bushes have been struggling this year and have never produced any fruit. so I removed some of the dirt around the base of them and put some of this against the root ball and for the first time they actually produced blueberries! Of course for potted herbs vegetables and other plants it’s just amazing! Just click purchase! You cannot go wrong! Multiple uses! It is more expensive but it’s high quality soil and you get what you pay for! ... show more
