[May 2022 update: the radio reception could be better. Strong stations are ok, but some weaker FM stations come in a little staticky. It's not bad, but it could be better.] Have had it for only a short time, but everything seems to work fine, I'm happy with my purchase. I really like the lighted LCD display as it's nice and big and easily readable. The sound from the speaker is good, not tinny and cheap sounding. Seems decently well made. I like the wide, stable base and the large solar panel. The only slight negative is that the crank handle doesn't feel that sturdy and the resistance to cranking is on the low side, suggesting it's not generating much electricity. But the crank seems to work ok. Another small suggestion for improvement would be to make the buttons have white colored lettering on or below them instead of just all black. With the buttons all black, it's a little difficult to see without light. But it's not a big deal as you very quickly get use to the location and shape of the buttons so you know which button is which just by feel. ... show more

A good product but not without flaws. For the good side it is a decent radio that's very portable and with decent sound quality. The radio has a variety of charging options which is appreciated for those who get outdoors and may not have access to an outlet at all times. Additionally the battery life is really good, particularly if the volume isn't all the way up. One thing that isn't mentioned on the store page but in the manual is that the radio shouldn't be used to charge other devices except in the case of an emergency because it can lower the battery's lifespan, not something I've tested but certainly a letdown because I intended to use it as a portable charger when camping out. For the downsides the buttons are very easy to press down, which can cause the radio to turn on/off while in a bag or if unsecured. Additionally the plastic screen in front of the display has a small crack on mine from being lightly jostled around in my bag, not product ruining but it doesn't look great. Overall it's a good product with minor flaws in it. In the picture I have it strapped to my handlebars of my bike for reference. ... show more

Nice, basic weather radio. It's a good peace of mind device. Loud volume and bright flashlight. Very loud "alert" tone/SOS siren. The solar panel is just enough to keep it in "silent monitoring" mode all night and recharge during the day. Battery life is not amazing, but the solar charging keeps it running and if need be there's always the crank charger or USB cable. Being able to charge my phone with it is a big plus. Only thing I dislike is that the AAA "backup" batteries are for some reason used as the primary power source, so I keep the batteries separate for emergencies and just keep it in the window to solar charge. It would be nice if you could switch the device to use the Lithium Ion internal battery first, and only drain the AAA's if the internal runs out. Other than that, great little radio. ... show more

One of th knows fell off when I was walking I couldn't y ind it .emaild the company they said they don't have replacement ones sory. So I guess you better hope nothing goes wrong with the radio because you can't get replacement parts.would not bye again.
