  • Awesome Game. Visual S+
Graphically Top Notch S+ . Great Game and good story.

As far as a game? There’s no actual gameplay here. You walk around, read text, listen to audio, watch video clips and the occasional quick time event. The game is very short, Around 2-3 hours. The game reminds of games like ryse son of Rome and the order 1886. Nice graphics but barely any gameplay or repetitive gameplay. I still enjoyed the game but I would wait for a sale. $10 sounds like a fair price for a game like this, definitely not $35 ... show more

  • Story is everything
If you are a gamer where you need constant action and explosions, then I'd say skip this. It's not for you. However, if you enjoy deep narrative and mystery, even at a slow pace, then definitely pick this up. Yes, you will be walking throughout this entire game. There isn't much in terms of gameplay aside from walk here, read this, find that. I wouldn't even call this an exploration game. This is a narrative driven game where you are investigating from beginning to end. Think of it as an interactive movie. Though it is short, it is wonderfully acted with incredible graphics. So, if you'd like to play something a little different and maybe a little slower in pace than any game ever, then give Fort Solis a try. Personally I loved it. ... show more

  • Yikes! This one is not a good game/movie/walking-sim.
Recently, within the gaming industry, there is discourse about video games being insecure of themselves and often try to portray themselves as cinema instead of being a video game. If you'd like a perfect example of this, look no further than Fort Solis. This experience has a major identity crisis. Fort Solis offers virtually nothing but inconsistent quick-time-events; audio, video and journal entries to flesh out a story, which isn't complex, like it tries to have you believe. You'll move a very slow character (no run or sprint button here) from one room in an uninspired space-facility to another. Most dialog takes places over communicators and the acting is shockingly superb. The facial animations and motion-capture is also top notch for such a small development studio; however, the compliments end there because even the actors couldn't bring this slog to life. In terms of Gameplay, there is nothing to talk about here. You just pick up journal entries, audio/video logs and listen to people slowly uncover a mystery that is so dull and stereotypical, that you will have figured it out, long before the 3-4 hours "adventure" takes you. Fort Solis occasionally tries to throw quick-time-events at you suddenly (there is maybe a handful in the entire experience) and even those are so badly implemented, I couldn't help but laugh. They even had the nerve to make failing have no impact at all. There is only one that alters your ending if you miss it; all the others will simply just have a different animation play out with the same overall outcome. I did everything there was to do and see in Fort Solis in a little over 3 hours with it. I walked away feeling very unsatisfied with its story, characters, world and gameplay; that I would never recommend it to anyone. I'm not exactly sure why they even made this a "game" because even if it were a movie/tv-show, it wouldn't last a second. This is not worth purchasing, regardless of how cheap it appears. Like a lot of movies out there, the trailer is so much better than what you get here. ... show more

  • This game won't be for everyone
This game really shows off the graphics potential of the PS5 and is a very addicting experience. However, this game is really short and there is not a lot more to do once you have beaten it. I would compare this game to a 4-6 hour film that you can control. It can have replayibility, but it's probably something you might play only once a year or every 2 years. Other than that, it was a great game. I just wish it was longer. ... show more

  • Another great game
We are huge Troy Baker fans so we’re excited when this game was released. No it’s not the longest game but the storyline and quality of this game makes it a strong buy

  • It is okay
So I bought this game and did not realize at the time that it was going to be completed in 4 hours. The graphics are stunning and well done. The story is engaging and draws you in but the replay ability for this game is low. There is a few QTE's for some combat interactions but I felt like if you were not anticipating them it was failed before you even knew what was happening. Even failing them does not seem to have any affect on the story line. There is no run or jog in the game so you are walking every where slowly. That is probably the most annoying part of the game. Is it worth $34? I might have waited for $25. ... show more
